Heroes Vs Traps- Fantasy Illustration + some making of shots
Hey Everyone,
Here is one of the larger recent illustrations I done for "Warriors of Light"

Was Especially hard to get around this piece as lots of planing had to be put in but then, eve more labor in regards of creating my assets.
As I mostly do in such illustrations, I created/sculpted the characters in 3d modeling, with zbrush and used VR oculus medium to create the environment assets. Then, those were polished in zbrush as well and finally all was taken into keyshot for assigning materials and rendering. Exported my renders in photoshop where I did the final composite and overpaint of the picture.
While a quite tedious process, it was enjoybale still and I was very pleasant with the results and the challenge coming from composing such action set pieces and getting all the elements to merge together. (light setup, forms, poses, overall polishing of the artwork).

Dude this is really cool! I love the feel of the final drawing, has that Indiana Jones movie cover feel mixed with dungeons and dragons :) Also really cool to see the process here, and how much life your final overpaint adds compared with the posed 3d assets.

Thank you very much @carlgnash glad you like it! yes, its definitely a technique I enjoy to use and actually, learn quite a lot out of it regarding forms, lighting and scale! Im glad to share the progress for similar works and I appreciate the support! (also fan of the Indiana Jones movies)
