The Rock and the Beach In Mohang Port Of Byeonsan Area, Korea

in #busy6 years ago

Before the breakfast, I was walking around the hotel.
I didn’t know Mohang port was also a famous place for the geology like the Chaeseokgang of Byeonsan posted before.

The Rocks on the beach seemed to have been formed as a result of the explosion of the volcano.
It was interesting to photography various type of the rocks and stones.

It was amazing I could feel vividly the heat of the lava on the rocks.
There were the patterns of the fishbones on the surface of the rocks.
It was the evidence of the heat of the lava.

The was a small beach surrounded by the rocks. The rocks looked like the wall.
If you take a rest with your family and friends, it must be a paradise.
Nothing could disturb your rest there.

There were several different types of the rocks on the beach

In my view, all the rocks in this area were the traces of the lava.

The rocks in this area was very difficult from that of Jeju island.

The rocks of Jeju island seemed to have been formed quickly as a result of the explosion.
So there are lots of hole in the rocks in Jeju.

But the rocks in this area seemed to have been cooled slowly.
So the patterns and the colors of the rocks were various than that of Jeju island.

All clicks are amazing but the first one is just mind blowing. It looks like some thing is flowing from the rocks. Wow. Nature's beauty..

Those rocks are so interesting to examine @slowwalker because of their intricate natural forms and shapes. The beach is the real attraction because of its beauty and people will just enjoy into having fun in them especially if we are with our families.

cool rocks , good job !

So amazing photos of the rocks on the beach. On the 5 photo the coast looks so cozy, have you swim there?

Hahaha
I was just looking at the beach

My girlfriend lives in Pohang and I spent a summer there last year, visited a lot, and will be there this summer again...

Bad news first - it's kinda boring. Especially during winter. The 'downtown' area is kinda small and there aren't a whole lot of fun nightlife places. There is a US Marine base nearby, so you see a bunch of marines walking around making trouble sometimes (nearly been in a fight or two). Also, bus and train tickets are a little bit pricey out of the area (but local buses and taxis are dirt cheap).

Some good news, the beach area is pretty nice, and it is a lot of fun to go with friends and have some fresh seafood at any of the quaint restaurants along the area. Daegu is pretty close, and the nightlife in Daegu is pretty awesome if you go to the right places. You are also really close to a lot of beautiful old cities like Gyeongju (The place is fricken beautiful, you have to go). And the people of Pohang tend to be really friendly and easygoing.

Ultimately, the trip will be what you make of it. Unless your school has draconian rules that prevent you from going out, drinking, and having fun, you should be able to have a really fun time no matter where you go in Korea. And the country is so small, you can take weekend trips literally anywhere.

You know Korea very well.

wow, interesting place, there are a lot of rocks, I have not been there yet, where is it?

@slowwalker, The beach in Mohang Port Of Byeonsan Area, really wondering to me. I have doubt how was created those type rocks & stones. In fact I accept your argument as you mentioned here. Best geographical location to must visit.

There were the patterns of the fishbones on the surface of the rocks

사진 속 바위에 모양들이
참 특이하고 보기드문 모양을 하고 있습니다.
용암이 흘러 내려 만들어진 바위라
그럴 듯 싶습니다만 ^^

Mohang Beach is situated in Mohang, Docheong-ri in Byeonsan-myeon. It is set against the beautiful mountains of Byeonsan Peninsula National Park and the clear waters of the west coast. With a nice sandy beach and a beautiful pine tree grove, the beach is a good summer spot for families. Designated a tourist site in December of 2000, the area has been equipped with a family hotel, family camp sites, beach cafes, recreation sites, camping sites, fishing grounds.
