"Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.” Mark 3:28-29 New International Version (NIV)

Often time, the quest to survive, to get rich and to live a comfortable life has made us commit some unthinkable acts, right on the Blockchain people all over the World lie and commit theft, swindling people of their resources and so on.

This a non-techy blog nor a Blockchain Technology Mumbo Jumbo, it is an eye-opener to sins that could condemn us even while still living here on Earth, it would be an unpalatable experience to suffer wars and outbreaks, sickness and sadness while alive and yet experience more gruesome ones after death.

Pride, Greed, Lust, Envy, Gluttony. Wrath and Slothfulness are the Seven Cardinal sins, and they are forgivable, but grieving the Holy Spirit; The Sin of Blasphemy is an automatic Eternal Damnation.

Our God is merciful, slow to anger and a consuming fire at the same time, but in his infinite mercies; men and women have committed slander against him and yet he sent us his only son Christ Jesus to die so that whosoever believeth in him will have everlasting life and not perish (John 3:16). On this basis, many had questioned why sinning against the Holy Spirit is not covered by Jesus Christ's saving grace from his Death on the Cross of Calvary. It is a mystery to us human, but God is a supreme and mysterious Being.

In a Nutshell, any sin that a man or woman doesn't want to give up, confess to and ask for forgiveness is unforgivable. Any Sin that makes the Holy spirit sad, bad things that a person holds on to and incessantly resisting the convicting power of the Holy Spirit cannot be forgiven.

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness"- 1 John 1:19

TAKING A SAMPLE OF OUR LIVES

Do you have any sin that you cling unto? Anger, Maliciousness, Drug and Alcohol addiction, Pornography, Slander, Conspiracy, Falsehood, Fornication, Scamming and so many more, do you hear the Holy Spirit calling you to halt so that Jesus Christ could spend time in your heart?

"Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst."- 1 Timothy 1:13-15 (NIV)

To not sin against the Holy Spirit, learn to be kind to others, be generous, be tenderhearted and don't keep malice and above all forgive all that have offended you, then be a lover of God.

"Be kind and helpful to one another, tender-hearted [compassionate, understanding], forgiving one another [readily and freely], just as God in Christ also forgave you"- Ephesians 4:32 Amplified Bible (AMP)

You are right dear
Many usually says that God is a merciful God even if they sin 20000 times against God that His ready to forgive......i usually replied "don't take God mercy for granted"
We should examine our lives....if we think we standeth , take hold less we fall...
His grace is sufficient for us to resist sin..

Thanks for sharing @oluwoleolaide

Very true @joagawu its high time we stopped playing religion and face the fact that Christianity is a life style of righteous living through the help of the Holy Spirit.

Nice input my dear friend, His Extreme Grace is Sufficient for us all.

loving post.sooooo nice article use on this.. keep it up.it'really love.keep it up

God overlooks every sin that is committed in ignorance, even the ones we consciously commit for as long as we come to our senses and plead for forgiveness. But sin of blasphemy against the holy Spirit is hardly forgiven because for a person to blaspheme the third person in the Trinity, it means that the person has no regard for the first(God) and second (Jesus Christ) persons in the Trinity. May God help us not to fall short of his glory. Great post!

Amen and Amen dear Friend.

Deep thoughts @oluwoleolaide. That God is merciful is not a license to continue in sin. We don't want to incure His wrath in any way. Hence the need to call constantly acknowledge the place of the Holy Spirit in keeping us from sin cannot be overemphasized. Thanks.

Thanks for reading friend...

Very true.. Grieving the Holy Spirit is one thing anyone who is conscious of his or her life should never do. Another issue is that people tend to even take for granted the grace made available by Our Lord Jesus Chirst and that is terrible. May God help us all..

Amen brother...

Really nice that you shared this...I've known a long time ago that blasphemy against the holyspirit is unforgivable, this includes the jokes and casual talks concerning the holyspirit that people do.. It used to scare me as a teenager, knowing what the holyspirit wants or not..I don't want to ever grieve the holyspirit.

One of my worst fears too dear @ponmile

Lol. I thought I was the only one who got scared. I didn't even want to hear people joke about the Holy Spirit.

Lol not only you o @annieben

Good and important articule. Just as Peter was remorseful after denying Jesus, so we ought to be remourseful and realise we have sinned. As stated in Psalm 51, God desires a contrite heart. Thanks for the articule.
