Well, its true.
We are at the beginning of an ice-age.
Soon there will be winters in the north where rivers freeze and blizzards last a month. There will be electric failure due to hydro-electric not running, and there will be failure due to snow loading on wires.
So, before 2020 gets here, make sure you have a wood burning stove (for emergency use only... stupid laws) and enough wood to last through a cold winter.
This carbon scheme is aimed at China. It will be used to drain developed nations and prevent developing nations from becoming independent. They lose the day we refuse to participate. Withdraw your consent in writing today. When your state of mind changes, your body follows.

For decades, scientists have been warning that man-made carbon emissions are causing the Earth's climate to warm, which is an existential threat to life on Earth. Some of their predictions have been early, but NOT WRONG! After all, the Earth's climate is very complex and difficult to model. Electrical power plants, cars, trucks, ships, trains, and aircraft are releasing millions of tons of CO2 into the atmosphere daily. About half of it is absorbed by the oceans, plants and trees. The other half stays in the atmosphere indefinitely and just keeps accumulating.
CO2 is a 'greenhouse' gas, which means it absorbs and retains heat from the sun, unlike oxygen. Methane, and water vapor (humidity) in the air and clouds are also greenhouse gases. Without enough of these greenhouse gases, the ambient air temperature would turn freezing cold at night when the sun goes down. This may lead to an ice age.
But, we have just the opposite problem, in fact. There's too much greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and it's increasing rapidly as our populations increase. The worldwide climate is warming, causing farm crop yields to decline and glaciers to melt. The oceans are also warming and acidifying, destroying sea life and melting the polar ice caps. The ice melt is causing sea levels to rise, threatening numerous island nations.
Politicians like Presidents Bush and Trump (at least Obama tried) won't deal with the threat of climate warming until it's politically advantageous for them to do so, inspite of the fact the US Military identified climate change as a major threat to national security https://unfccc.int/news/climate-change-threatens-national-security-says-pentagon.
For these reasons, I fear that President Trump won't address the threat of climate warming until worldwide farm crop yields are catastrophic; sea level rise has destroyed cities; millions have perished; and he accepts that geoengineering is not going to work. By then, it will likely be too late.

Yes, the Earth will be fine if CO2 levels keep increasing. But, most animal life, including humans, will be gone. Five mass extinctions of life have occurred in Earth's history and the sixth mass extinction is well underway. People may not want to accept these scientific facts, but it won't make them go away.
Of course. But implying that man can somehow change this is pomposity at it's finest. We're not even close to being that powerful. Like George Carlin said "the earth will shake us off like a bad case of fleas".
There are so many variables and man has only collected data for the past 150 years. We aren't even close to understanding what our contribution is to this. Of course, it makes sense not to add to the problem, however, I'll bet you that even if we do change our ways so that our carbon footprint is completely invisible, mass extinction will still occur and on the schedule that the earth determines, not what we determine.
Totally agree. The first five extinctions occurred when humans weren't around yet, although for different causes. Even if the sixth mass extinction, whatever its cause (it's probably mostly us), does continue until completion, I think life on Earth will bloom again, but far, far into the future.
