I used to code in hard core assembly language and things change.
I did some database related stuff and SQL was useful. Java came a long but I never got into it. Then I learn a bit of R and a bit of Python few years ago on coursera. That's one interesting way to learn. Last year, I relearned Python when I enrolled myself in a night class for a diploma course. I find the online way more flexible but if you are not the discipline type, then paying the fee for class you need to attend may work better. It's good for meeting and getting to know some people too as you be seeing and attending classes with them. So, I think is your learning style. I tried two methods and I think the force myself a commitment works better for me though I would still do online once if time permits.
