How do you get into coding/computer programmingsteemCreated with Sketch.

Is a degree in computer science necessary to learn how to code, specifically blockchain technology? Is there a better method? To those that have been coding for years, if you were just starting out today, how would you do it?

Hello @gcalex!

I've been coding my whole life since high school... You have to love it...

if I were just starting out today, how would I do it? I would try Python... Btw, I still don't know that language but I just see it's easier to program things than other languages...

You only have to love one language, the others will join automatically...

Nice to meet you...

😄

ty for the input

I agree with @jadams2k18

Demand for python programmers seem to be growing, and supply ... simply isn't there.

Did you ever do any programming yourself in the past? You either love or hate that kind of job.

Cheers, Piotr

I used to code in hard core assembly language and things change.
I did some database related stuff and SQL was useful. Java came a long but I never got into it. Then I learn a bit of R and a bit of Python few years ago on coursera. That's one interesting way to learn. Last year, I relearned Python when I enrolled myself in a night class for a diploma course. I find the online way more flexible but if you are not the discipline type, then paying the fee for class you need to attend may work better. It's good for meeting and getting to know some people too as you be seeing and attending classes with them. So, I think is your learning style. I tried two methods and I think the force myself a commitment works better for me though I would still do online once if time permits.

Dear @gcalex
