Haiku Saturday, Round 7

IMG_5913.jpg

#poetryweekend is in full swing and the last time I looked steem has come up a wee bit; so things are looking up for #haikusaturday. Are you ready to peer at nature to see what it isn't but kind of is ...

Here are the rules. Because in creation, there must be structure and patterns or there is chaos that even Jackson Pollack couldn't pull off as art. Haiku is not random and chaotic; it is brief and nonsensical ... until it isn't. Then it all makes sense and aren't you clever having figured it out.

  • UPVOTE and REESTEEM this post.
  • Put @prydefoltz in your title and one of your tags should be #haikusaturday
  • Write a haiku post and drop the link in the comments below.
  • Visit at least three other haiku and comment and upvote their COMMENT here. You can also upvote their post if you got the upvote power but it is not necessary. Your votes will decide the winners.
  • Wrote a haiku for another contest or challenge; feel free to post it here too. I'm not possessive.
  • The liquid payout from this post (SBD) will be split up among the winners (those who received the most upvotes) and the most supportive participants, those who upvoted and commented the most.

Last weeks fluid payout worked out to roughly 0.6 SBD when the steem amount was added in. Here is the SBD payout list.

@corderosiete ... 0.15
@rlt47 ... 0.1
@liverussian ... 0.07
@karmashine ... 0.07
@satorid ... 0.07
@pedroelec ... 0.07
@marlyncabrera ... 0.07
Now go out there and be seemingly nonsensical. Happy ku'ing.

Photo and words are my own.

Sort:

hummingbird totems.

Love that!

Thanks friend. The hummingbirds fight over their nectar.

Wow... Awesome!

Hummingbird tótems.

Ah I found it, in the first photograph...
The wrigley snakes body and then the scaly snake head
Simplicity is the new sophistication.

Hello everyone! I ventured to create for the first time a series of haikus to compose a poetic piece in order to accompany them this day in which I had never participated. So I hope you like it and tell me your impression. I titled it: "The twilight falls asleep" and I was very excited to do it.

Very beautiful photos of the crecúspulo. Very good haiku.

Oooooh... Thank you! Do you think they are good haikus? I took great care!

Love the metaphor work, Zeleira:) This one was my fave:)

the citric tone
portrays a fumarole
get up the wave

Thanks teacher! I am honored by your comment. I feel more than satisfied.

Many thanks, @artowisdom. I love having access to your sensitivity and that you like it.

I love the imagery you create as the tired sun, blinks...
...and as the 'eyelashes' is ruined by this blinking.

The sun is blinking
the fall of the black night
ruins his iris hair

Thank you! I appreciate your comment very much. It is satisfying to feel that we project so many images with so few words.

Yes, indeed I find that more satisfying than writing volumes. There is a great challenge in being a person of few words; but using them effectively.

are you sure you're not the teacher, @zeleiracordero?? ;) Awesome photos and haikus my friend. I've got some practicing to do =D

Thank you, thank you very much for the encouragement, partner!

Gorgeous composition, @zeleiracordero. Loved the metaphor. Genius!

Hi @prydefoltz, Apologies for my late entry - I got stuck in the garden today...

https://steemit.com/haiku/@rlt47/an-original-haiku-seasons

Blossoms and buds peek!
Colour festival erupts,
Birds singing sweetest!

Enchanting as the spring season. Excellent set of haikus, @rlt47

The change of season brings joy with the song of the birds and the flowering.

how lovely @rlt47. A journey through the year in haiku! an awesome one at that my friend. thank you =D

Thank-you @karmashine, I do appreciate the support. :)

This time you had to make it four, huh? So it doesn't break the natural course of events, plus I know, you couldn't leave one season without a haiku, you're a a sensitive one, R.))) You know what is beautiful about this set? Everyone has their favourite season, and they can surely find it in your four-in-one haiku miracle, the miracle is your ability to keep the structure 5/7/5, you're a master!

Ah ha! I knew there was a reason why I enjoy doing Haikus... It's the great feeling you get when I read a comment such as this.

Thank you ever so much, for the beautiful comment.

Perhaps there will be a day with five or six haikus... or eight if ever I need to do one describing each of the legs of an octopus...

Pieza encantadora! Tiene fuerza. Me gusta.

Didn't see that coming.
The slyness of the cloud. Smart! I like it, @artofwisdom :D

This is such an excellent picture and represents the following line well...

Clouds encloud

Hi, haiku lovers. Thanks, @prydefoltz :D

Here's my entry:

"Erosion"

Wonderful work. Marlyn:) Loved it and great photo too:)

Nice1, thanks4sharing.

Welcome, @artofwisdom. Writing/reading kaiku is one of the nicest things to do, so thank YOU :D

Thank you, @prydefoltz
It's the landscape I see when I travel on weekends. I took it from the car :3

Excellent metaphor The rhythm is lovely. I love it, Marlyn!

You've summed up the age old battle of attrition well!

Of course the mountains has a clever "aces up it's sleeve", they bring back all the rock they loose through volcano's and other neat tricks...

whoooaaa. that's a powerful haiku @marlyncabrera. you've got me thinking and feeling!

unimaginable strength
giveth & taketh
ever present renewal of life

cheers!!

Beautiful poetry friend In addition, the photo is beautiful. I think it's a lily

Thank you, Cordero:)

I so love this. These are Iris', yes? just awesome. sunshine cataracts/iris. Stunning ;)

Thank you, Karma:):):)

Too beautiful! The metaphor is fascinating:

sunshine cataracts

Thank you, Zeleira:)

Hi Pryde, I love the contrast between light and dark / shade.

The hero always comes through...

Thank you, RLT:)

You're most welcome Pryde.

Hi, @prydefoltz.

Mesmerizing illusion, @prydefoltz :D Loved it!

I have a thing for yellow flowers. Colombian author Gabriel García Márquez told in an interview (almost 30 years ago) he always had them in a vase next to his typewriter for good luck--not that I believe in luck, but still :3

Thank you, Marlyn. A little luck is never a bad thing and a lot of luck is a very good thing:):):)

Good luck, always welcome ♥

How awesome: a little island of beauty and hope among "dark reeds" of "a shady marshland"! One should just find some courage to get out of their blue mood and enjoy! Your haikus are like tiny sparks of wisdom, Pryde!

Thank you, LR:):):)First order of the day should always be finding a good mood:)

Hello Fellow #haikusaturday Steemians! Here is my entry for this weekend's round =D

I have the idea, the caressing could be mutual...

Caressed With Each Step

Hi, @karmashine :D

There are too many people in a hurry in the world. We need more of those caresses, @karmashine. ¡Beautiful! :D

Riiiiiiiight!!! =D I agree @marlyncabrera..less hurrying, more carressing... Tyvm my friend!!

Spectacular! The photographic shot is masterful and the haiku very good. Is that a caterpillar? What a happy coincidence his encounter with her in the haiku:

Bug in a flower

Cheers!

A caress to the pollen with a measured step. Very nice haiku and photography too. Congratulations.

The sunflowers open their petals so that the sun caresses them slowly.

The sunflower is a beautiful flower. It has different symbols, but contemplating it leaves the soul imbued with the greatness of nature.

Wow thanks allot

Great to have a new participant, LS. Please be sure to upvote, reesteem this post, and read and upvote some of the other participants:) Thank you:):):)
