Learning a new skill: graphic design

I designed this myself as part of my graphics design class work...yayyy! I decided to acquire a new complimentary skill and so I enrolled for a graphics design course. I often have clients who ask me to either create content for their e-fliers or get them a graphics designer.

Learning the skill puts me in a position to provide more value and earn more in the process. It's been an interesting time learning about stuff like Emphasy, Alignment, White-Space, Depth, Shadows, Opacity and so on. I would appreciate your opinion about my samples below.
