My first investment into cryptocurrency.. what to do???
About two weeks ago, I decided to dip my toes into the cryptocurrency market. It took about twelve days for my funds to go through into my Coinbase wallet and I have yet been able to create a Bittrix account in order to do any trading with all the backups going on..How many of you Steemians have had the same problem??
At the moment, I have only invested a small amount to experiment with trading as it is my first time doing anything of the sort. My question to all of you is-- What alt coins are you rooting for?? How are you doing your research??
I have been trying to follow as many investors as possible to get some insight on how to make solid choices in alt coin trades but ultimately, and expectedly..Ive become lost in a pile of information without clarity. so whats up Steemit?? how are you navigating all of this!?

Bittrex has been backed up for awhile and when another exchange (Binance I believe) opened registrations for an hour some 200,000+ people registered so you can understand the volume they are dealing with! Many people are also waiting for their preferred exchanges to open up.
I believe you can't go wrong with any of the big three BTC, ETH, and LTC. After that it gets crazy and I pay someone to give me some leads on specific alts. There is a crazy amount of false and uninformed information out there so cautious is good, don't get caught up in FOMO!
thanks for the info! I currently have BTC and LTC, unfortunately, I got into Coinbase right before Bittrix closed registration but I think ill wait till it opens back up instead of going with another exchange . I believe you're right with the false and uninformed info.. I have been weeding out a lot of people who are investing with little to no explanation on why they are choosing the coin they have, or if it is solely based off rumor of the coin going up.
I've been a pretty big fan of SUB for a while now, and just like an hour ago they released a good update video. They are working to create a decentralized internet, so in other words, their product/tech solves a real world problem. Beta is supposedly rolling out later this month. I think this coin is definitely going to go up a decent amount, at least double by the end of the month. It's at $2 right now, I think if the beta comes out this month it will easily hit $4 or much higher. I've put my money where my mouth is and invested quite a lot into it....so here's hoping!

Now lets talk business, as for Bittrex, I recommend that you go do yourself a favour and register in Binance (as of the time that I am typing this the registration are open). Binace si like Bittrex but simply better and bigger with more coins available!
As for investment, you have to choose what are you looking for. Do you want a 100%-200% back on your investment (x2 to x4) ? If yes, then go for Ethereum ETH no hesitation, its a safe bet. If you want to take more risk, go for altcoins that are currently in the top 50-120, they have a lot of place to grow. I would recomment 0x (ZRX) it's in between the high risk and low risk and has great potential!
Of course, always do your due diligence, and do your research on a coin before investing and never invest more and what you are willing to lose.

Hi, there are many great opportunities yet in some Altcoins, use the CoinMarketCap to look for great project that still cheap. I don't know if you prefer Cobinhood / Dogecoin / BAT / EOS / aelf ....
Hey, welcome to crypto! Yes it is frustrating at first but with time it will get easier and you will find your groove.
Bittrex is good for buying alts but I would recommend using Binance http://bit.ly/2FzjoOm
