How about green? This is a wide angle shot in the forest looking straight up into the sky during a G3 solar storm at 54 Degrees North. Vivian Lake, Prince George, Northern British Columbia, Canada.

Certainly the most amazing sky I have ever seen; it was pulsing green in every direction bright enough to see your own shadow.

I have also put it up here

This is a perfect example of painting the sky. Great shot!

Thanks mate. Glad you like it.

Oh my goodness... That looks like it would have been amazing to be in... Very jealous! Does it move really fast as well?

You can just see the flickering I am talking about a little in this video. Hardly comes across however . In person it’s quite disturbing as the whole sky flickers .

That is awesome. One of my wife's things on her vision board is to stay here at this resort and watch the norther lights.

Would be cool to do !

Yes on this occasion it moved quite quickly. Hard to describe but the swirls move like the speed you might be able to stir something in a bowl with your hands. Then overlayed on that there is like an electromagnetic pulsing which lights up and dims sections of the aurora . Perhaps like a faulty TV flickering on and off . You don’t see this in timelapes as it’s very quick ( pulsing at 10 times a second perhaps ) . There is some real time video footage from some of the new super high iso Sony video cameras that show it.
