Tasting pizza dosa and cheese dosa from a food truck

in #food6 years ago (edited)

Dosas are south indian specialities, originally from Tamil Nadu. A rice-based flour is thinly applied on a heating surface to make it crispy.

It's freaking yummy and you can eat dosa at any hour of the day as a snack whenever you're hungy.

The two most famous dosas are masala dosas and just plain dosas. But today we tried for the first time this food truck hanging around the tech park where we work and tasted some exotic ones:

  • Pizza dosa (right), and what's left of
  • Cheese dosa (left)

Once ready we could just sit outside in the shade and enjoy our dosas. This food truck is actually staying all week at the same location in the EGL Tech Park, Bangalore.

3 dosas at a time, multi-tasking at his finest

This is the second time this week we go there for lunch. And although the food truck is called So-Fat's Dosas it was surprisingly not oily.

I think in the mean time the user changed the text and images.

Yes you are right. The user erased it.
But I will see how to "black list".

hai jonmaim how do you do? What did they serve as an accompaniment to those dosas? did they serve chutney? The one in the cup looks so like that. Didn't they serve Sambar, a popular South Indian dish? it will taste so good with idly, dosa and vada. if they didn't, please just ask for it. That combination will be simply Mouth-blowing!!!

Thank you for the comment. They didn't give sambar, actually this food truck only give coconut chutney and mint chutney.

Hi @jonmaim, how do you do?

Okay fine. Or else you try idly/vada/dosa with Sambar in big restaurants. It is a great combination and you will then understand why i stress this out to you....Have a nice day ahead!

Thanks for the shoutout @jonmaim have you thought about using @dtube?

Some people like @kenmelendez and @freedompoint do pretty well on there. I am planning on using @dtube more in the future but I need to get better at creating good video content.

For some people, videos on @dtube earn a lot more than posts. I personally like it when people make a @dtube video with a matching post in writing - @kenmelendez and @freedompoint both do that!

Thanks @chrisrice for the references, I will check their videos.

I've been thinking to try also, but you talking about it is giving me extra motivation.

Very nice, same as here in Sri Lanka, because here too Tamil's. How long you will stay in India for your work?

Right, I forgot about it. I spent 1 week in Sri Lanka and I remember the food was very good. I think we'll stay 2 more years in India.

Very nice. As I went beginning of the year to India with my family for 2 month, I was thinking I was prepared for it, because I saw many Asien countries 2 years long... but I was wrong. I was not prepared for this. We will go again to India in the beginning of 2019, maybe after Sri Lanka. Not finished yet my work there, to many good places and the pure adventure... Are you able to register on the discord chat?

Thank you. I'll keep following your posts to know where you are. Maybe you'll come to Bangalore? It's not the best place for tourism though...

There is so many different forums, I don't know which one you are using?

maybe you can register on Discord Chat and send me your ID?

I'm not a Discord pro yet as you can see, here is my ID: jonmaim#0232
