[Vegan Diet, Yoga and Meditation] vs breast & prostate cancer.
This study was focused mainly on prostate cancer. As a result the vegan diet lowered bad cholesterol and even reverse symptoms of type 2 diabetes. All participants were put on a vegan diet for a year and participated in some sort of stress management. Everyone was put on some sort of stress management, either yoga or meditation.
Women were put on different diets and their blood was dripped onto cancer cells in a petri dish. This study showed that just 2 weeks of being on a vegan diet suppress the growth of three different types of breast cancer.
Drs. Dean Ornish and Elizabeth Blackburn (Nobel Prize winner) discovered that a vegan diet caused 500 different genes to change in a 3 month period. These genes were known to affect prostate and breast cancer.
