RE: Healing Journeys: Taking Baby Steps Towards Brighter Days
“By the way, I don't believe that trauma can be healed.”
Maybe you are right, but then what's the harm if experts in matters like these give it a try and even help reduce the effects? I know this is easier said than done, but when you discuss things and you have vouched for that, when people suffering from such problems discuss things, they feel better. Think of it when trauma experts try to reduce the problems; it got to be reduced, even if to some extent.
Having said that, I am no expert on such matters, so I can only tell you hearsay. I can only extend my support to the extent of spreading the message among the Steemians.
I think you may have slightly misinterpreted this. He is suggesting that while there is a perception that trauma can be healed, the focus is not on healing the trauma itself. Instead, the point is to change our attitude towards it, making it easier to cope with. Most people don't know how to cope... Which the root of problem.
I understand what he said but I was only trying to say while changing the attitude of the sufferer, why not work towards his recovery as well? Maybe we get zero percent success but what is the harm in trying? But then as I said in the beginning, I have no such experience in matters like these so there! All the best!
Yes! You have a point. But isn't changing one's attitude and dealing with trauma a part of recovery, however small it may be? I'm no expert either, but that's how I understand it.
Thank you so much for your engagement. Means a lot really ❣️
