A strange story but good.
Around here, the rains suddenly stopped. The air is filled with smoke. It's not a lot of smoke like it was the last two days but it is still smoky. The fires are in California. It's a long ways away. The wind blows hard now from the southwest and down there is Arizona, Southern Nevada, and California. It is very hot there. Always has been but not nearly as hot as Red Bluff, California which is in the north or Lawton, Oklahoma where for some reason it's hot to 125 F every day in the spring, summer, and fall.
Both places are lush. It's hot for some reason. And it's been super hot there forever. Here where I live, it used to be covered in trees, filled running creeks, and ponds. Just to the east is Fish lake National Forest. There are a lot of little lakes, ponds really, nestled here and there in the high mountains.
There Cove Creek now dry and the Beaver River drying up.
All because of what I have written about, fought, and perhaps lost.
Written, fought and perhaps lost... As long as there is a "maybe", is there hope? Perhaps lost is also perhaps won...
I do like a positive attitude. I do think this battle(s) I (we) are in is beyond our understanding to determine victory. Then again, there was one whole heck of a dust storm with the today and clouds above it. So that I could not tell if it was rain or not. Yet every once in a while there was a series taps on the metal roof. I suspect that was some sort of precipitation.
