Welcome to my post. Meet me again with new contest post. Hopefully, you all will be enjoying your life wherever you are. This is my participation post in S7W6. I'm here to be a part of the last week 6 contest of Season 7 in the SteemitCryptoAcademy and the topic of discussion is very important, Careful, Has your Steemit account been hacked?. So, let's start the article that is essential to know everyone.

Steemit is decentralized platform like others. There are some scams in Steemit , these scams are known as cryto scams. These scams are done by hackers through milacious activities and phising attacks . These scammers get access to our crypto wallet through Dubious links.

Only thing that is in our hand , we must be extremely careful about your account security. Never get any chance to Third party Activity. Through awareness of security account , we can save our accounts. In this regard I made a post a couple of days before. Because a proposal is accepted by Steemit team. Steemit team asked the professors of Crypto Academy to include this topic. After that I published a post for the security of Accounts. Must visit my post before reading this article.

Because account security is only thing through which we can save our account from phishing attacks and milacious activities. We must be conscious about our security. Then we can save our accounts from hackers.

By the Grace of Allah Almighty, I joined Steemit since 2021. I have never experienced like this. The reason is that I never leave any record on every browser. Steemit is a platform that is decentralized. But Alhumdolillah, I never hacked my account the reason is that i am very conscious and responsible about the security of my own account.

That's why I always work for the better ecosystem of Steemit. I always promote the security of steemit Through social media. But one of my friend 's account hacked once. Then he did not know about recovery of accounts. He lost his account. After that he guided me very well about the security of my keys.

Dubious links are scams of crypto. We often observes that someone share his or her link under our posts. Such types of links are that join this or that and get rewards. Human nature is sometime very greedy. By getting that reward (that is fake ) people clicked on that links that are dubious in nature and lost their security. Hackers get access to account. And they stole the token (that are in Steem and SBD).

Avoid from clicking on that type of links. Must keep in your mind , there is nothing for us , unless we work hard for this. Without any hard work , is it possible that someone get rewards in free. No , Never. So please , avoid to click on such type of links. When we click on that links they directly access to our Private Active Key. Through which they can easily transfer our tokens that we have earned ny hard works.

The reason is that we are irresponsible about the security of our account. When we know that Steemit is decentralized platform where we can't stop such kind of scams. Only option is that we must be careful enough about the security of our own accounts.

What are your recommendations to prevent your account from being stolen or hacked? Give us your opinion.

Yes , there are some recommendations to prevent our account from being stolen or hacked.

• Never use Private Key in Browser.
• If you use Browser , keep in your mind that don't save history in Browser. Must clear your history after using.
• Never use public Networks.
• There are some website who provided free software. These softwares are vulnerable.
• Dubious links are in form of Gift offering. Don't click on that links just because of greed.
• Update your softwares. Download Macbook (Antivirus) that protects from suspecious activities.
• Save your token in the form of Steem Power.
• Power- Up all liquid steems.
• Stay away from Third party App.
• Recovery account is very important.
• Check your account in every week.
• If you observe any suspecious activity then must inform to Steemit Team and communities.

These are some recommendations to prevent your account for being stolen or hacked. The post link that I gave all of you in this post , that post is detailed post about the security of accounts. Must read that post. When you will follow all these recommendations then you can save your account from being stolen or hacked.

One thing that is also important to know is that use strong password. And set your recovery account. If you observe any suspecious or milacious activity then change your password and set your recovery account. By following these recommendations we can save our accounts form being stolen or hacked.

Why do some accounts get hacked? What would you say to people whose accounts are hacked?

Firstly, now a days there are many accounts that has been stolen or hacked. By the help of communities some account has been saved by setting and changing recovery accounts. I feel sorry for those who lose their accounts.

The answer of this question why some accounts get hacked is that accounts hacked because of irresponsible behaviours of users. People don't take it serious. By doing this they lose their accounts.

The main reason of count hacked is phising scams or crypto scams. There are some links that are offering gifts and rewards . These are dubious links . Greedy people click on that links and share their private key. Hackers stole the tokens that are in Steem and SBD. Because they immediately transfer the Liquid Reward.

Some accounts are hacked , when users use public Networks. Hackers are always in digital world . They stole the account when someone use public Networks.

Sometime we use browsers for Steemit use. After using that users don't clear the history. Hackers accessed through history. Saving history is the major problem . Through which hackers can stole or hacked the account.

We don't upgrade the antiviruses e.g Macbook. Antiviruses prevents our accounts from vulnerability. Some people don't download and upgrade Sting Anti virus.

Some people don't set strong password. They set simple password that's why their accounts easily hacked by hackers.

Some users are busy enough , they don't check the recovery account or any milacious activity in his or her accounts. So they were hacked by hackers in this way.

Some people access third party activities. That's why their account is being stolen and hacked by third party apps.

Some people use Private Active Key unnecessarily. That's why their accounts are being stolen or hacked.

I would say something to that people whose accounts are hacked. I feel sorry to those users who stole their accounts. But somehow they are responsible for that. Because when he or she observed any suspecious activity to account then they must to inform the Steemit Team and Communities by making a post immediately.

They people lost their accounts by not securing their Keys. Because hackers got access through keys. Being late , hackers even changed the passwords that were they hacked. It was the responsibility of that users the they should know the security of their accounts. Even in Achievement 2 of Newcomer's community is all about the security of their accounts.

They should take serious the achievemts , after that they will be careful enough to protect our accounts. Unfortunately , the irresponsible behaviours of that users resulted in being hacked or stolen , sorry to say.

One thing that is also important , Communities should also start Campaigns for the awareness and protection of accounts. So they people learned from other users post. They lost their account because they were not in touch with Steemit Team and communities that's why they lost their accounts. Their is only one solution that we must be extremely careful about our own security.

If you find out that your account has been hacked, what are the steps you should take immediately to prevent your tokens from being stolen?

If I found that my account is being hacked I will take some steps immediately to prevent my tokens from being stolen or hacked.

• I will check my account if I found any suspecious or milacious activity then I will change my Recovery account.

• I will immediately change my password before hackers changing.

• I will power up my all liquid Steems Rewards in Power up. Because Steem Power takes some days . In that time we can control our account.

• I will contact my friends , Steemit team , communities for immediately action toward hackers.

There are the steps that I will take immediately. This is all about my side. I'm sure the message of this contest is clear now. Steemit is decentralized platform we can't stop te way of such scammers (that's why we are hacked by phising attacks by milacious activities ) but we can prevent our account by following recommendations that are mentioned by me above.
