Beautiful experiences from my city Kirkcaldy
Today I wanted to highlight this contest of the user @visionaer3003 because after been posted 24 hours ago it has received not much visibility. It is often that we all try to sty in one place and do not go around and it is a shame when some contest receive no participants.
The contest is easy, you need to tell about the beautiful experience in the city you live.
Here is the link and please visit it if you became interested:
This is very small town and located on South-East coast of Scotland. Because it is Scotland there are many traditions that attracts a lot of tourists. One of them , of course, Whisky there are so many famous brands and tourists can visit those places and also to taste the original from the place of their production.
I love the Scottish flag, because of the colours blue and white, that reminds me clear sky with light clouds.
Majority of the buildings in Scotland made of sand stone and they are all very old, that architecture luckily remained intact despite of WW2. Among the buildings multiple churches, like this one St. Bryce that is in very good condition and just in the center of the town.
The other great experience for us as people who moved to Scotland was Highland Game. This is very old tradition and actually every single county has its own Highland Game. We have visited one and had a lot of fun. In our town it took place on beach because the whole town is stretched along the beach. The participants got wet a bit but for those real native Scots it was no problem at all.
Reading it felt like being in Scotland for a short time. A great feeling. It has always been a dream of mine to take a short trip to Scotland to taste fine whiskey there and take a closer look at the culture. It has remained a dream to this day. Thank you for the great post I really enjoyed it.
Thank you for organizing the contest. It is always quite difficult because you want to help others and give the users a chance to write about something but also reward them. But people sometimes too lazy even doing so. We did in the past contests but at the end we gave up. I love to take part time to time and this was just one that I liked immediately :)
I am glad that you like the post and I wanted the feeling of it like I do. For me the people here is the most valuable experience. They are so supportive and simple, even being a strange on that Highland game we chatted to many people around so it was a great fun!
The picture with Kirkcaldy pier is a photograph, we did it in summer. Luckily the weather was nice and we had such beautiful reflection. The buildings behind are apartments for renting.
I can imagine that @ogst0311 wanted to visit Scotland. It is great place, a lot of nature especially in Highlands. Beautiful western coast too. Also many tourists in summer. So who knows maybe you will come one day :)
Corona cases are not too bad, but we see every day some cases. IN past years we stopped planned surgeries but this year we still allowed to do scheduled surgeries. So we will what the winter will be.
Is your brother also Nurse? Then you also h ave a family in medical field.
Upvoted! Thank you for supporting witness @jswit.
It's a nice place. The men in skirts look unique.
And to meddle,
Is your brother a nurse?
@cyberrn is a woman and a nurse. In Korea, the word '동생(=younger brothe or Sister)' is widely used in families and a person younger than oneself
Yes, the colour of skirts or patter is called tartan and every clans have their own colour combination.
Yes, my sister is one year older, she is a nurse in ICU, that is what I have mentioned in one of the comments to cyberrn. She told me that she is a nurse. Google-translator mixes sometimes he or she and also I and you. So it is often then sounds strange
You live in a very beautiful place @stef1, what I want to experience being in Scotland are your kinds of food products out there, it will be a whole different world for me. 👍
It is really nice place, I believe we human in general do not appreciate what we have. We always want to be there where we never been thinking that it is better there. I love the nature here and tradition, the history and heritage. But I think long term to live I am not sure. We will see where we land :)
Best Regards Camping Club Steemit Community on Steem
With that in mind, happy blogging
Wow I've never been to Scotland but if I have a chance to visit there must go to your city Kirkcaldy. Thanks for sharing wonderful pictures. 💋 😗
You are welcome, glad you like it. The good thing about this little town it is very close to Edinburgh to capital, and of course, less expensive.
Yes, I did - enjoying this little visit to Kirkcaldy.
The name made me curious about the place - and your introducing picture is lovely. Let it be printed as a posting card for all visitors!
But its tower seems a bit to hang like the tower of Pisa...
(Just joking! Photographing vertical axes is not easy, as I know by my own experiences...)
I've been to Scotland many years ago - though this visit was not planned at all...
But i loved it at first sight - being to Inverness and Loch Ness and then to the Isle of Skye. Just a few days.
One and a half year later I returned to Inverness. At this time (in summer) it was very touristic and not so heart-opening wide, so I went to the Orkneys: KirkWALL was one of the places, and there - believe it or not - I met the Queen...
Scotland looks so beautiful. I used to watch videos on YouTube of different places in the world. I watched a video about traveling around Edinburg. I haven't heard about Kirkcaldy in the past though.
