A little more about our mission...

In an effort to better explain the goals of steemiteducation, we figured it might be helpful to share the information we provided in an application for delegation last year. We updated the voting statistics to provide the most accurate picture we can.

There are over 60 million teachers and 750 million students in the world today. We need to bring them to the Steem Blockchain.

Steemiteducation’s goal is to empower educators to empower their students and to help provide an education to anyone with a desire to learn regardless of geographic location or economic status.

Our dreams are huge. Some day, we plan to be able to:

  • Offer content courses
  • Develop educational technology and apps
  • Share lesson plans
  • Provide how-to and tutorial video
  • Facilitate one-on-one tutoring
  • Encourage educators to share ideas and problem solve
  • Allow for students from around the world to collaborate
  • Create a knowledgeable and active alumni to help future community members

We have begun by searching for and rewarding the best educational content on the Steem Blockchain. Steemiteducation has voted 18729 times for 1310 unique content creators. With more SP, we would recruit and retain more educators and students and make our dreams a reality.

Steemiteducation is 100% not for profit. We have used all of the rewards generated by the account to either rent delegation or to power up in order to encourage and retain high quality educational content creators.

We are looking to encourage the following:

  • High quality, original educational content
  • Videos that teach lessons or provide examples
  • Technology/apps created for the classroom
  • Lesson plans
  • Assessments
  • Teaching materials
  • Educational stories
  • Labs and experiments
  • Advice
  • Educational games
  • Teaching methods which can be applied in the classroom
  • Properly cited material

We will not support:

  • Plagiarized material
  • Low quality material
  • Offensive material
  • NSFW material
  • Material lacking proper citations
  • Improperly formatted or grammatically incorrect content
