RE: Viennese Art Nouveau (Part 1) // Wiener Jugendstil (Teil 1)

in GEMS5 years ago (edited)

Very beautiful ancient buildings with magnificent architecture! Among your nice pictures, I especially like the 3rd and 4th pictures; the "The University of Vienna" and the "Vienna City Hall" look elegant with the wonderful clouds and sky above.

Besides, the arts, the sculptures, and the warm air pipes of the heating system, are very amazing.

The information you provided is interesting.

Thanks so much for sharing. Looking forward to your article Part II. ;)

Thank you very much, I'm happy about your feedback.

You are right, the University and the City Hall look particularly impressive under the cloudy sky. Both were completed in the eighties of the 19th century. Many buildings from this time are still preserved in Vienna.

The next part is about Otto Wagner, an architect who strongly influenced the urban landscape around the turn of the century with his new architectural style.

You are much welcome!

Oh! I'm very glad to know that "many buildings from this time are still preserved in Vienna". That's really great!

Ah! The next part sounds very much interesting. He must be an important architect. I would love to know his biography and see his new architectural style as well. I look forward to your post soon. ;)
