Hello everyone, I can guess you are having a great time with your gadget scrolling through your post feed and I'm very happy you actually decided to read my blog post today.. Thank you for the lovely visit 😊.

There's actually no doubt that the on-going pandemic coronavirus outbreak has really changed lot of things and this has also affected our economy as a whole. To reduce the spread of the virus, the government had to adopt an effective lockdown policy which has led to the closure of schools and some other occasions that could foster gathering of people.

Nelson Mandela once said that "education is a powerful tool or weapon that could be used to change the world". Every child deserves the right to be educated as this practice could help improve and develop our world into a better place. It's really so sad that while some students are still in their learning phase in school, the school managements were left with no choice other than to shut down all schools for the time being due to the effect of the pandemic disease. Some tutors are also taking their time to extend their learning process online to reach the need of their students but not all students can afford or access the internet due to their lack of gadgets such as phones or laptops.

Even though the schools are shut down, that doesn't means everything is over as a student. Also, closure of schools for the main time doesn't implies that education has stopped or ended for students. This is why I'm gonna be sharing with you some important things you are meant to be doing as a student during this lockdown and I hope you'll definitely benefit from this post.

#1 LEARN A NEW SKILL

images (58).jpeg

There's actually more to learning than you just sitting down in your class comfortably getting notes from your tutors at school. I've always advised my students and colleagues to always have an additional skill aside from what they are being taught in school. There are lots of skills you can learn both online or offline but what really matters most is your level of interest and passion for what you are learning.

I've known some successful people who aren't working with their certificate(s) but they are working with the skills they've learnt years back which tends to be fetching them cool income. I suggest you don't just sit at home doing nothing, start developing yourself by learning good skills.

#2 START A BUSINESS

images (56).jpeg

This may really sound funny or astonishing though but the fact is that you are never too young or small to start a business provided you have what it takes to make it happen. Business simply means the act of rendering goods or services to earn something (money) in return.

It's high time you need to start thinking about the type of business you wish to venture into and you must ensure you have knowledge about what you want to do. I'm definitely sure this will really keep you busy. You don't need to start depending on the government or some institutions to provide jobs when you can actually make this happen by creating your own business and employing other people to work for you. It's never too late to start and it's also never too early to start what you are passionate about.😊

#3 WORK ON YOUR WEAKNESS(ES)

images (55).jpeg

As we all know we can never be 100% perfect just as an engineering student or physics student will always tell you that you can never have a perfect machine (machine with 100% efficiency). We all have our shortcomings and our weaknesses just as we have our best parts and our strengths. The problem most of us do have is the inability to focus more on solving such problem about our weaknesses because we do always think we can't do it (fear of failure).

I'm actually an introverted person and it has actually affected my level of confidence and self esteem when dealing with people. I really find it very difficult to converse with people because I'm always shy to do so but I still feel comfortable chatting since it's not physical. The fact is that i actually noticed some great improvements in my lifestyle after I've decided to take the brave decision to build my level of confidence and I can confidently affirm to you that my level of confidence is really developing unlike before. I suggest you spend more time on developing your personal self and building up yourself for a brighter future since you have the time to make it happen.

#4 START DOING WHAT YOU'VE ALWAYS WANTED TO DO WHILE IN SCHOOL

images (54).jpeg

I could remember telling most of my close friends that "if not for school I would have start earning some cool cash by writing articles and also probably through programming". The truth is that ever since the lockdown began, I actually seized the opportunity to fulfill my wishes and guess what it's already happening as expected but I'm still also learning programming even though I haven't written some programming codes for some time now due to some personal reasons known to me.

I'm also sure that you've also always wanted to do some things but school has actually been some obstructing or obstacle delaying you. The ball is now in your court and you have the free time to make it happen.

#5 SPEND MORE TIME WITH Your FAMILY AND LOVED ONES

images (53).jpeg

Well, it seems the coronavirus pandemic is really making this happening since everyone are now with their families. The fact is that every parent always misses their children when they leave for school just like children also misses their parents. The great effect is more felt for students studying at far distances away from their parents which makes such students spend some months in school before returning home for holidays.

You now have the time and opportunity to spend time with your family and always ensure you make them feel happy and appreciated. Never make them feel sad and always ensure you leave a positive and good impression on them.

#6 YOUR OPINION

As you all know me to be someone passionate about learning, I'll love to seek you opinion on the topic at hand which has to do with things student are should start doing while the school is shutdown. I'll definitely be happy to learn from you 😊.

In conclusion, the school being shut down doesn't means that's the end of education for you as a student. You should always ensure you spend your time productively such that you'll be glad you were able to achieve some great goals during the lockdown.

Thanks for your time and I hope you have a great day ahead with love from @hardaeborla

You have shared very helpful and necessary tips that students have to abide by during this period of staying at home but I will also like to add that students should endeavor not to become strangers to their books they have to keep reading and gaining knowledge all the time.

I also agree with your point about student not being strangers to their books and it's really great some of them can also use this period to revise and read their books well.

Thanks for your lovely comment 💖💕❤️💖

Very nice your publication, I think you touch important points in the personal growth of any person. Sharing as a family is very important, on the other hand starting to do what you were behind or what you could never start with in school is a good plan, why not? I believe that doing new things encourages us and makes us happier, more confident people, I think these are qualities that should be reinforced.

Hmm... So cool! I think I will have to start trying many new things that comes my way then 😊.

these a tough things to do considering the state of things and how students' motivation is at it's lowest level ever, picking your pieces as a student at this time could be hard. In my opinion, starting with the easier ones like spending time with your family is the best way to start, then move on to gradually learning a skill. We are in unfortunate times, its sad

Yeah... I think we really just need to start from somewhere even though it's by spending time with our families... Also the aspect of skill acquisition shouldn't be left out.

Very good recommendations, especially to learn new skills or study something new.

I am Asperger and I agree with you on the difficult what is done having to start a conversation with someone I really don't like it, and the paradox is that in all my life I have had to do phone work I must interact with the public, as a seller, customer service, Calle Center, et I guess it's just a personal challenge and a weakness that must be overcome, I see it that way.

Nice post!, I felt very excited reading it! .

I strongly believe we'll definitely overcome this with time provided we don't give up on our goals and aspirations 💪😎.

I agree 100% with your position on this issue, the fact that schools are closed does not mean that students can learn something new or perform other activities of interest and benefit, it all depends on the vision that we have, so above all things we must have a positive mindset that we can take advantage of this closure and spend time on other things that can be done from home

Exactly! Students should always have a positive mindset towards things and they should also spend their time wisely.
