One of the most commonly used terms since the globalized era is "stress", associating it as a direct consequence of many situations.

Have you ever felt stressed? If your answer is yes, the causes of this must be identified in order to avoid the consequences.
One of the most evident is financial stress, being today one of its direct consequences the Covid-19 pandemic, where an exponential increase was evidenced at a global level.

Stress. Definition and consequences.

Bruce McEwen defines stress as:

"...a real or suspected threat to an individual's physiological or psychological integrity that results in a physiological and/or behavioral response".

Based on this definition, stress can be considered as a consequence or response of the organism to a threat.
Stress is one of the main problems facing workers and employers today, because of the way it can affect the employee's productivity in their daily activities, causing delays and ineffectiveness.

Likewise, the consequences of stress on our body goes beyond the psychological level, can trigger a series of anomalies such as headaches, neck pain and/or back, anxiety, hypertension, heart problems, digestive and intestinal, insomnia, lack of mental concentration, obesity, depression, and irritability, among others.

Financial Stress. Causes, consequences and possible solutions.

The insecurity and economic and financial instability are the most frequent triggers of stress, caused by the possibility of not having the necessary economic means to cover the family needs and a potential debt that would cause a bigger problem.
These are just some of the many causes of financial stress, one of the scourges most commonly seen in the wake of the global economic recession as a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The consequences of financial stress can cause health and work problems, one of the most alarming of which is the lack of mental concentration that prevents us from carrying out our work activities and can even lead to the loss of our jobs.

However, it can be avoided by following some tips, such as:
1.-Identify and assign an order of priorities to the requirements, reduce unnecessary and superfluous expenses; as well as apply a conscious austerity policy.
2.-Structure an income and expenditure plan to record and control both items.
3.-Establish and follow a balanced diet and maintain a discipline of exercise, which will allow you to release tensions and worries.
4.-Maintain a positive but realistic attitude towards your personal financial situation.
5.-Set yourself measurable and real goals, within acceptable deadlines and adapted to your personal reality.

In conclusion, financial stress can be considered as a direct consequence of a bad economic situation of insecurity in the financial sphere, resulting in negative effects on our physical and mental health.

There is no doubt that economic problems generate stress and even more so in these times when the economy has been so affected by the pandemic, most households have had to make many changes to be able to cover their needs. However, it should be noted that if not handled in time the consequences on physical health can also become very serious. Despite the difficulties we have to be concerned about physical and mental health. Greetings!

One of the things that most affects the human being is the lack of money that can cause a state of alarm that deteriorates their health over time, in countries like Venezuela where opportunities are limited people suffer from anxiety so severe that end in depression and in many cases suicide, this disease should not be taken lightly as it has the potential to grow to end the life of a person.

Hello friend, I agree, I think one of the big problems in our lives is economic stress, today with the pandemic many people lost their livelihood and have had to start from scratch. It is something that can affect us both physically and mentally, although we do not associate what happens in our mind is reflected in the body, so we must learn to master our emotions and seek solutions instead of immersing ourselves in the problem. Greetings!
