Yea the economy is fine, nothing to see here
An airline announced they will need to cut 40k jobs without stimulus money, but sure everything is fine
While congress if off enjoying their cabins in Idaho and Wyoming the economy is on the proverbial cliff.
The previous unemployment measures have either expired or on the verge of being used up and fit is about to hit the shan.
Yet here we are with Congress out roasting hot dogs and fly fishing.
American Airlines is going to have to cut 40k jobs if something doesn't happen soon:

We are inching ever closer to this proverbial cliff and Congress just doesn't seem to care.
They prefer to play politics instead of saving the economy and the American people.
Give me a good crypto rally and I may be considering changing countries.
All time highs.

+Of course, all those congressionals don't think they live in our room (and in some ways they don't). I do harbor fantasies at some point in their lives they at least have the decency to feel shame and regret. Sigh.%0A%0A

the economy of several countries are on a verge of collapsing and the government is doing their best to get it on track. The truth is, private firms are the ones majorly feeling this heat and it is directly or indirectly affecting employees and other citizens.
For some people and for some reason best known to them, this is all fun and games.
Dear @jondoe
Which airline company made this announcement?
It surely does look like many politicians are benefiting from upcoming crisis.
ps. I'm not sure if you've noticed but your voting power is down below 40% (that's like 220k SP lost in your upvotes and curation rewards).
Also let me know if there is any way we could contact each other (DM) outside public blockchain? I already know you do not use telegram/discord. What about linkedin or email?
I would like to discuss opportunities of collaborating in the future. I also need to share with you some details about our project.hope economy.
Let me know,
Yours, Piotr
If they are considering it as fun, then definitely the people and economy are going to fall apart.
Valuable enough to be given a read.
Few businesses have been hurt more than airlines by the pandemic, as people around the entire world quite literally stopped travelling overnight, with an estimated loss that exceeded 90% in several cases. The other example that comes to my mind for being hit with quite the same severity is the hospitality sector (hotels, restaurants and bars).
Politicians obviously take these hard times of disgrace as yet another instrument to push their agenda, where oppositions parties are blaming the current governments for their inability (nevermind what could possibly have been done, or what those same opposition would have done instead). I have seen very few and far apart examples of politicians exposing a responsible behaviour: it's just so much easier to rally public opinion as that is the low hanging fruit and fits well for shifting votes.
It seems to me in very bad taste that a few days ago the congress summoned Jeff Bezos Mark Suckerberg and the CEO of Appel, practically attacking them for having monopolies, instead of worrying about the companies that may fail in this pandemic
Yep it is. They are going to have a huge crisis on their hands.
Hello friend, the truth is that they only care about filling their pockets and not about society. In many countries the same thing happens, the government does not care about the people, they only care about their personal benefit.
