The Wim-Hof Method // Meditation, yoga, physical and mental wellness

I will begin by extending a cordial greeting to my friends, a few days ago I received a message from a great friend with an incredible invitation that I will share with all of you, in his brief message he inspired me to dive into the world of health in the quest to be less anxious, calmer and at peace, my friend in question told me about the WIM-HOF Method.

I confess that I never felt attracted to practice meditation, yoga or anything like it, however, my friend's enthusiasm and the effects he obtained by using the Wim-Hof Method has helped him greatly to better manage stress, strengthen his immune system, feel more energetic and healthy, enough reasons that motivated me to investigate this wonderful method of breathing, cold exposure and consistency.

What I was able to research about the Wim-Hof Method, is that it is precisely a technique in which breathing exercises, cold exposure and consistency are carried out, where the combinations of these three elements make the body oxygenate and alkalinize, which subsequently helps to reduce any discomfort helping the body to relax and enter a state of greater well-being.

This wonderful breathing technique, exposure to cold and consistency was devised by the Dutchman Wim-Hof, well known for his resistance to extreme cold, for climbing Everest in his underwear, and for enduring 2 hours submerged in ice, another important fact about this Dutchman is that he has also practiced a lot of meditation and yoga, and with the experience he accumulated from both techniques he designed this famous method.

In the following weeks I will be uploading new publications where I will be able to explain better and in detail other aspects of the Wim-Hof Method, but for the moment I want to tell you that I have decided to practice, and I will be dedicating every day of April about 15 minutes a day, so I hope to share my results with all of you.
