Hello to the community, I hope everyone is doing great!!

Is it Winter Season in your areas? We don't have snow, just continuous rain here. Anyway with another week approaching, it's my turn to join the Power up contest organized by @jyoti-thelight. With the positive up trend in the Crypto Market, especially with Bitcoin, I believe we can see some Positive months ahead with Steem as well.

Have you ever opened a Fixed Deposit in a Bank? Well, the Powering up of Steem is more or less the same idea in the Crypto field. Here we transfer our Liquid Steem, which we earn from writing, as curation Rewards, or invested Steem, to its Power up state. The process is not complicated, but it provides a great many things in return. The thing is if we want to exchange it, we need to wait for a month to convert them into the Original state.

So, why do we do it? Why is so much attention to this? Well, let's discuss it, after my power-up.

• First Head to your wallet, and log in using the Posting key. Here you can see your belongings in different types of coins. Here's what mine looks like.

• You can see a drop-down menu in front of the amount of Steem. When click it, we can see the Power up option.

• In the next interface, we can give the amount we need to do the Power up. As you can see, there is an available amount with me as well. Give the amount, click the button, and then confirm the process using your active key.

• In a few seconds, the process is completed and the balance will appear in the Wallets.

The importance of Power Up

Most of us started our journey here from scratch as Newbies. We need to stabilize the platform and create a good reputation. Meanwhile creating quality content and engaging with the others, powering up is a great method to do that. It shows that we are committed to the platform and serious about this. On the other hand, it's a great satisfaction to see the growth of our account.

With the increase of Steem Power, we receive a Voting Power, higher the better. So, with that, we can support other content, while receiving curation rewards. Or else, we can delegate them to certain communities, become self-sufficient, and also enjoy the benefits that come with that.

As I said, this shows our commitment to the platform. So, many opportunities unlock at a certain level. For example, Steem Curators, Representatives, Moderators, etc. And we can use it to vote for our favorite witness as well.

On the other hand, we help the platform stabilize the price and for long-term holding, powering up is a great strategy to get the maximum benefits that come with that. With all this, our Power increases as below.
