Contest: 1 Picture 1 Story Week #66
Hello my dear Steemians,
It is beginning of winter and despite of we do not want to have cold days and winter but we still the nature will take its turn. For us, human can wear warm clothes and also we can have nice warm evening at home, with heating and light. But what happen to the nature around us.
When we go walking we always visit our Park, it is a big park with a lot of trees and a little lake, that is an artificial one that is why water is not salty and often if temperature goes down then water can have thin layer of ice.
When we at the lake I like to see if the birds who live here decided to stay over winter or if they left to warm countries.
This time I wanted to present you this photo that showed how much of the surface of lake is covered with ice and also there is still snow on the top of it. That is why when looking at lake one might think that ice is think enough for walking on it. I believe people did it especially children that is why there is sign: “Danger: thin ice”
From this side of lake we can see that there is some area of lake with water that is not frozen and that small area friendly shared by different birds, there are two swans and many wild ducks. Often people who come along have some bread to feed birds. Naturally their food is under water, some fishes or maybe seaweeds. Hopefully they have enough food over winter and that we will see them during winter.

Thank you so much for inviting me here. Winter has also come to our country. I like winter as you described. However, some animals and birds suffer a lot.
For example, the water is very cold because it is wet. But the food that is being prepared for ducks is the most important in the water. But they still go into the water to eat food. God has given them that power. Naturally, we have a hard time doing that. Stay well and good luck to you.
