[TRADITIONAL FOOD] Cranberry Sauce

Without cranberry sauce, a roast turkey is incomplete. Fortunately, it's really easy to create.

This recipe in particular is really simple and nicely sweet. It is also incredibly forgiving because it calls for frozen fruit.

A spritz of orange juice will elevate the sauce and add a zesty, vibrant taste that goes well with it. However, that is not required.

Either way, it will be delicious.

Sort:

Most canned cranberry sauce uses High Fructose Corn Syrup as a sweetener. The process of creating HFCS creates free radicals that destroys vitamin D and causes other health problems; so it is good to mix up the cranberry sauce from a bag of berries.

BTW: one can make a jellied cranberry sauce by adding gelatin. We often add frozen strawberries.
