Architecture: modern and old

Hello my dear Steemians,

 

Today I wanted to show you these two pictures, when we were walking along the streets of this old city we have noticed that many old structures were preserved even though they did not really have any role. For example when we walked along this street we have noticed this almost demolished arch, we went under and thought what was it before.

When you see this building it is on one of the main street and you can see that at the corner of it the round tower. I can imagine that inside it probably look like in old time with little windows and spiral stair.

Those buildings still have old timber window and many of them under protection that means next window must be timber too, which is very expensive. That is why when buying such houses people should be ready for big expenses.

 

 

This is how it looks from close distance you can see how the road is passing and you can see how much space between two walls. Maybe next time we are in this city we should visit the library and find what it it. The city is famous with its history and I am pretty sure many of that buildings can tell interesting stories.
