Back from Holiday: UK election2024 - Labour Government won!

Hello my dear Steemians,

The holiday is over and we finally arrived to our other home in Scotland this afternoon. The overnight trip was good, the North Sea was relatively calm, as precaution I took couple of motion sickness tables but had a good sleep.

The breakfast was as always delicious and we have a good drive, although in UK we also had couple of road constructions and that made our trip a bit slower.

Here in UK there was an important political event, during last few years there are a lot of problems with Conservative party or how they are here called "Tory party". You might remember that there few premier ministers since Brexit:

• Theresa May
• Boris Johnson
• Liz Truss and
• Rishi Sunak

The people here were annoyed with Torries, there was a big pressure on PM and about two months ago it was announced that there will be a general election.

We have found that shortly before our trip to holiday and of course, I wrote to local electorate and asked if we, as EU citizen who live and work in Scotland for more than 10 years can take part in this election and received an answer that EU citizen can not take part in this kind of election only all local within Scotland. That is why we were out this time.

If I would be able to take part I would give my voice to SNP or Green party.

This time the real winner of the election is Labour Party with Sir Keir Starmer, his party gained +211 seats and Conservatives lost -251. The Labour is back after 14 years of Conservative party at Power

New Party and many new faces in government cabinet, everyone had a lot of Hope and we will see if the people will be ahppy.

Mr. Starmer and his wife now moving into 10 Downing street, great day and great result!
