Hello dear Steemians,

 

When I saw the mentioning by @patjewell and visited the comment I found another post of one of the active Steemian from Venezuela who now been diagnosed with a new cancer disease. You can see the link above if you would like to visit the post.

This time @cive40 shared her worries and a stroke of fate that usually happens very suddenly and nobody has any guarantee that it will not happen with us. After finding a lump in her breast and basis investigations she was diagnosed with breast cancer and needs surgery, therefore she is doing Power Down to be able to pay for the surgery.

Family and friends are always supportive in such situation but any treatment is expensive and lengthy

So far I understood from the post the diagnosis is Invasive ductal carcinoma, which considered to be early cancer and early treatment will start better it is. In treatment options:

• either lumpectomy with with radiotherapy, or

• mastectomy and lymphnode removal

Often it is surgery that is advisable, because if breast gland removed complete, the chances that tumour removed within the gland without disturbing tumour surrounding higher. Often only pathologist after surgery can tell if e everything was removed in total or not.

Of course, the patient themselves decide what they prefer after speaking to treating doctor.
