DIY on Holiday: Garden work and new plants for terrace
Hello my dear Steemians,
We have promised to you that our holiday is not only to have leisure and do nothing but active and with some satisfying result.
You might remember that we had a lot of work around painting in our two rooms and of course, we used our terrace for storing the materials and now after all finished we then needed to clean and tidy up the terrace.
Of course, first of all the easiest thing is to clean and remove all dust and spider webs with vacuum, I am very glad that someone clever invented vacuum cleaner. Water and soup is the simple and everywhere available materials. The next question was to replace all flower pots with new, because they were out of shape. While choosing new pots, we also got flower soil and also few flowers, very simple ones and resistant to wind and cool temperature.
The final result you can see on our first photo but you also can see the before picture below. We love how it looks now and to know that it was worth to spend the time for that.
We have done a lot around the garden what was planed but here is the part that is probably the last from our to do list and one of the hardest. Along the side of our house there is bamboo plant that is quite stubborn and uncontrollably started to grow along our side of house invading the plants and already spreading beyond the gate. The bamboo was not there last year, that means only within one year it is spread so much.
That is why we started to removing it this time, everything needs to go, slowly and slowly we have completed the whole side but only the roots now that we need to remove.
We need to cover that area and prevent any exposure for light with the hope that it will make its trick and bamboo will not come back.
After all this work, we definitely deserved some rest and we have time for watching Football Euro Championship tonight Germany - Denmark. Wishing you nice evening too!

we are cleaning the pool now, changed the filter, bought a new pump - the old one was struck by lightning. And in general we need to change the fence - but we don't have the time and resource)

Pool is great, I always wanted to have a pool, this summer we had few lightening too, it is a pity that it broke the pump. We also plan some stuff for this year and some for the next, need to collect some money till next year :)
In the house always need money) If the house is separate, not an apartment - and the costs are more.
