Hello dear Steemians,

 

Another shift was over and I have one more to go tonight in a busy hospital here. Each of those days are different the first one was relatively quite and no surgeries over night. Last night was busier with emergency scoping but also we had couple of other admissions so that kept us going. In compare to us, surgeons the Orthopaedic team had more work to do, due to cold weather and higher rate of falls due to ice on road.

Still during our 12,5 hours we have some moments when majority of work is done and commonly it is after 3AM when we have couple of hours quiet time. This time is quite difficult because after all active work we can grab something to eat and relax and then our body just want to get some nap but we can not. There are many things that every of us has to get over this moment, to do some admin work that never ends and for me I often have my sketch book that usually helps me to get more concentrated and also it makes time to go faster.

During New Year time there was one of movie that I loved to watch with my father it is "Rambo" with Sylvester Stallone or Sly. There are many different opinions about the actor many liked how he acts many do not but for me, he is one of my favourite actor. I like his goal striving character, there are many great movies, action, comedies and also that till nowadays he is still very active and did not spoil his live despite of being a famous actor he is still a family person.

He also has very distinct face features so I thought I do his sketch, but I do not have much time for realistic portrait that is why decided to do a caricature. The main aim of it to show the features of face that is typical for the person and distort them a bit like cartoon. So here is my work during my break time between the work, hope you like it.

 

My step-by-step process:

 

Here are the basic features, of study, eyes, nose and facial bones, there were many of those attempts, that is why I did not capture all of them, I even thought to quit it, but still I kept going and that is what came out of it:
