Monday walk: historical place, exhibition and Christmas trees
Hello my dear Steemians,
These days I have a long working days that is why not much time for Steemit, still before starting my shifts I had a day off on Monday and luckily it was a nice, sunny day after rainy weekend. Today while looking thorough the photos i decided to share them here.
I wanted to start with this beautiful photo this is a road that is heading to our home, I love this street it is very old and the building with clock is an old church, just before that it is a shop for kilt makers, it is one of the old shop and old family business and I am glad that it is still running.
There buildings are made of sandstone and despite of being very old it is still in very good condition, often such buildings are used for local orchestra gathering and also for Antique shop and not only as church for services.

Usually this time of the year there are few entertaining events in our little town in shopping centre. We never know what is happening but we just like visiting shopping centre and have a surprise. This time it was a small exhibition that so we could see the artworks Collage behind the glass windows, I believe exhibition itself was not open yeat but I still took some photos.

Another interesting market place was full of Christmas trees. The time when we were there it was too early and there was nobody was there to sale the trees, for us, we just use the tree that is artificial and every year look green and nice.
The place looks picturesque and very clean. Beautiful houses.
The smaller places and towns are nice and look like in a fairy tale in winter, that is my favourite season, especially seeing how the buildings covered with snow :)

Thank you Xavi, we go to walk almost everyday, I love to pass through High street, first because of old buildings and other reason now in the time of Christmas there can be some interesting events, that always makes us to stop and to have some chat with local people :)
The one thing that I love about Europe (1st photo)…the architecture is traditionally old. In the US, everything is so new…almost everything…unless you go to the historical districts.
All those Christmas trees in the last photo, I can just smell the pine, it's a very nice smell.
Yes, I am glad that many buildings under conservation rules and protected, but restoration of them is very expensive, that is why many belong to city council, but that is good this is a way how to preserve them.
I love Christmas trees, you are right it feels like you are in forest it has a smell of pines and Christmas :)
What a nice walk @stef1 with collage exhibition included They are very good! I also loved the old clock building, it has a lot of charm.
Thank you Silvia, this old building is also my favourite, there are small towers with dragon, I love the sandstone, thank the quality of stone the buildings in the same condition like it was at the time of the construction. Often I think if I were born in old time I probably also choose the work with sculpturing stones :)

Every picture you show me is amazing. The sandstone buildings especially the church and the family shop next to it look very nice. I am a bit more attracted to old things especially ancient buildings so the first picture you shared attracted me a lot.
I love the photos you shared from the exhibition, especially the first photo where a little girl is holding a flag with the words "wake up" written on it.
The Christmas tree shop is also very attractive. And since Christmas will be celebrated in a few days, I think everyone should start looking for Christmas tree from now.

Thank you for visiting my post, yes, sandstone buildings are very different the store warmth very well that is why that is the best in Northern countries. The place is old that is why there are quite many buildings like that.
I am glad that we have such Christmas tree market to tell the truth they all look very pretty :)
