"Ameland's Windmill" by @stef1

Hello my dear Steemians and Art Fans,

It is still hot and sunny, therefore while hiding inside from the heat we noticed there it was an interesting documentary program about the Netherland's Island on the coast of North Sea it is Ameland. Like we have already mentioned that is a little paradise for children and adults.

While jelaously seeing the landscapes and sand dunes I saw a scene with old barn and windmill, it is typical Netherlands Windmill as you might be aware almost each country in Europe have their own characteristic type that people built them in the past.

That was a reason why I decided quickly grab my watercolor stuff and made this beautiful scene.

Hope you like it.

Watercolor painting is modest and very beautiful^^

Hi @dreamb, thank you for viewing my painting, the scene of such farms and windmill somehow remind me my childhood, when people were able to run around the whole day long and explore the area. I decided to combine many different colours to transmit the impression of hot summer day. I am glad you like it :)

We don’t have this scene here in Sri Lanka. but I felt some familiarity as I am a book lover and used to read lots of translations during my childhood. ❤️❤️
Nicely drawn and made me thinking of taking out my water color set. ❤️

The good thing is that each country has their own beauty, I am pretty sure that there are some historical heritage of your country that for me would be astonishing. Your country has beautiful nature and I hope people there appreciate it and take care.

Thank you for your nice words about my watercolor work, I love those windmill and always glad to have the opportunity to do them again

Excelente obra de arte.

Thank you for stopping by and viewing :)

Feels like home! Well done girl! X

Thank you @ciska, I can imagine that it reminds you your home, I really love the Netherlands and always enjoy even for very short time to be there :)

That's a lovely scene and sweet painting! The style of mill reminds me quite a lot of the windmills in Denmark when I was growing up. Although they are not used anymore, many of them have been saved and kept up as historical landmarks. This one is in the town where I spent most of my summers:

Wow, that looks very beautiful, it is different from one in Netherlands and Germany but I definitely like it. Where have you been there in Denmark? Do you still have any relatives and do you travel often there? I believe it is different from States but probably you got used to it by now :)

Very good art friend if you like to review my illustrations stop by here

Thank you :)

Wow, amazing watercolor piece. It's good to see you being inspired by what you saw in the documentary and capturing it into a timeless painting like this.

I love Windmills, I actually have done couple already, but seeing in video from all the sides that gives you an idea how the structure looks like. Also wanted to try another watercolor of Mill.

Very beautiful @stef1 and water color suits it well

Thank you @theia7, I started to love Watercolor and enjoying it :)
