If you are a lover of the horror genre, then I can mention the role of Suzanna. She is a living figure who plays a horror genre film in Indonesia. Although the character has died, but the role of Suzanna was revived in a horror film in Indonesia, Suzanna: Bernafas dalam kubur.

The actress whose real name is Suzzanna Martha Frederika van Osch is a legendary figure in the Indonesian film industry, especially in the horror genre. Already appeared in 42 titles during a career on the silver screen, the actress who died in 2008 and was nicknamed as the queen of the Indonesian horror genre.

In this film, Suzzanna is the main focus. Conflicts that have been well made, successfully made the audience curious about the actions taken by Suzzanna. When judging, Suzzanna: Beranak dalam kubur emphasizes the side of the play. The horror that is presented, even though it is worked out totally, has not yet been able to give a terrible spooky effect.

This film tells the story of a husband and wife named Satria (Herjunot Ali) and Suzzanna (Luna Maya) who have been married a long time but have not been blessed with offspring. Longing for the baby becomes reality after the wife is declared pregnant. Hearing this news, Satria became extremely excited.

Being a superior in a well-known manufacturing factory, Satria was faced with demands from his men, Jonal (Verdi Solaiman) and Umar (Teuku Rifnu Wikana) who asked for a raise. Reasoning that he had recently given a salary, Satria denied the requests of his two subordinates.

Urgent in financial matters, Jonal proposed to Umar, Gino (Kiki Narendra) and Dudun (Alex Abbad) to rob Satria's house, because he would be in Japan for several days. Umar who has a felt for Suzzanna flatly rejected this plan, but because of the urging of his friend, this factory worker finally melted.

The plan was launched, everything went smoothly until finally their action was caught by Suzzanna. After being chased for some time, Suzzanna had to die from being stabbed accidentally by Dudun.

Panicked and frightened, the four friends finally decided to bury this unlucky woman's body in her own yard. This is the origin of the change in Suzzanna into perforated Sundel. Myth says that a mother who dies in a state of pregnancy will turn into a hollow Sundel [Indonesian ghost].

Carrying the mission of revenge, Suzzanna who was once gentle turned into a brutal astral creature.

Movie [It isn't scary, but it does display a powerful spectacle]

Compared to the horror that was built, tense action is more pronounced when many sadistic and brutal scenes that befall the antagonist cast.

But not only beaten up with tense actions, but you will also be made to laugh out loud seeing the trio of servants at Suzzanna's house. Mia (Asri Welas), Rojali (Opie Kumis), and Tohir (Ence Bagus) combined nicely in presenting fresh comedy.

Film Suzzanna: Beranak dalam kubur uses a touch of the past. Anggy Umbara, the director who was initially believed to be in charge of the film, placed various comedy elements in the midst of film tension. The presentation of this film is actually quite good and is able to present a tense enough tension.

This film does not taste scary horror because of the trio of Suzzanna's assistants who make the film's taste change. Especially when they begin to know that this Suzanna is a ghost. Rojali who was curious finally did a check and invited other helpers to see. Finally, they know that Suzanna is a ghost,

Even so, there are still some shortcomings such as the division of stories that are made in a hurry and of course, conflicts that look like mere chance. Even so, the film Suzzanna: Beranak dalam kubur, does not lose the essence of the story. Lifting the veil of a woman who became Sundel Bolong [Indonesian ghost].

The beginning of why the emergence of Sundel Bolong happened is also told in the film quite well. Inspired by two Suzzanna films, the horror of the horror film comes with the right composition. Intrigued by the combination of conflict, comedy, and horror that is presented throughout the film?

Although interrupted by comedy scenes, this film is able to show the hysteria of Suzzanna's horrors in the past. For example when Suzzanna (Luna Maya) tries to haunt the robbers it actually looks terrible. No one can replace the pale face expression from the original Suzzanna. However, Luna Maya has tried to display the maximum horror in her own style.

Moreover, this film is said to depict Suzzanna's physical form when she was young. One of them is thanks to the right makeup and costume design composition. The haunting image of Suzzanna in the '70s reappears in this film. In addition, what makes this film scary is the setting of the story that was returned in the past. All sets are made to look vintage.
