Yes, flavored teas contain oil and the oil kills the bacteria and yeast. The oil creates an imbalance.
Mushroom is incorrect. In English, it’s called a SCOBY. Like skow-bee. SCOBY is an acronym that stands for Symbiotic Collection Of Bacteria and Yeast.

What are you going to flavor it with? I drink it with flavor and sometimes with fruit flavor.
