[LEARN & EARN - Week #17] What did you learn in the last couple of days? **2 STEEM BOUNTY**
WOOOW, we have a record-breaking 14 participants!! That's just soo cool. I'll really have to start looking for some sponsors to increase the prize pool - that's why it'd be amazing if we could start using our own #learnandearn tag. More details why are in the post :)
One thing a day, keep stupidity away :) I've lately started to write morning journal similar to how Tim Ferris does. But I've added one more column:
What did I learn yesterday?
It quickly became my favorite thing to write down in the morning. Just couple of words. Usually between 3-6. Just keywords. The realization that I'm waking up smarter than yesterday just totally boosts the energy for the next day.

- Monday - how to python unit tests in Odoo
- Tuesday - potato mash can be faked with polenta
- Wednesday - cherry-picking doesn't always leave a special commit
- Thursday - There are 2 places in Australia where most skiers go
- Friday - Austrian "skiwasser"
STEEM BOUNTY (2 STEEM )
I want YOU to do the same! And because I know that we're all driven by the number in our STEEM wallet, I'm adding a tiny STEEM Bounty on this post. There are three ways how to get the bounty:- UPPER (20%) - To get into the upper tier, write a post with your submission. The only thing the post has to have is to use the picture above (my notebook with week number) as the title picture and [Learn & Earn] in the title. Also, if you guys could use #learnandearn tag, it would be amazing as it would give us more leverage trying to get some bigger sponsorship :)
- MEDIUM (15%) - Comment and write what have you learned on each day of this or last week
- LOWER (10%) - If you've just randomly came over, comment just 3 random things you've lately learned and you will get some cut as well
Whale users? Anyone?
I thought about fourth REAL LEARNERS' bounty size which would require participants to daily fill in the Google spreadsheet! I could take care of writing the script to check if people are not cheating. But to make people come back daily, the bounty needs to be higher than 1 STEEM. If some whale users read & like this idea, just lemme know if you could donate couple of STEEM for the cause to increase bounty and get the REAL LEARNERS' division going :)#learnandearn tag :)
Please, I don't want to push anyone to anything, but if everyone who's publishing separate posts (upper tier) could start using our own tag, it'd be just amazing. Okay, ...here we go.
While I was writing my entry for the InformationFinding Championship (@ifc), I learned that there were only two languages with a 't' that I've ever heard of. Turkish and Tamil, all others were completely new to me.
I also learned that pushing myself to do things, even when I absolutely don't feel like it, can be really rewarding. I didn't feel like going to my friend's birthday dinner on Saturday, but I forced myself to go - I had to get out of the house for a change - and it was actually quite fun :0)
Another thing I learned is that I need to be more clear in my communication here on SteemIt, especially with other non-native speakers. When both parties don't have English as their mother tongue, a misunderstanding is always lurking around the corner :0/

I have also recently discovered the communication thing with my work the team in Sri Lanka, as well. Even when someone says yes yes ask them to put what you said into their own words and then figure out what they meant from that..

smarter than me... I took years to get into steem..
Okay - let's see if my brain is working - going backward...
Today= Sunday: I learned that airlines have emeritus status - always thought that was just for academia.
Saturday: I learned that South West Airline is going to have new Uniforms.
Friday: I learned that there is finally a Thai restaurant in our town and it is best for takeout.
Thursday: I learned that there is a movement against Charter schools out there and I think that is really sad.
Wednesday: I learned that it is fairly easy for me without a car - I loaned mine out for several days. I can walk to many places. (still like to have one and need one for greater mobility)
Tuesday: What the heck did I learn that day? Maybe set up recur post?
Monday: Now, we are pushing it. That is a long time ago. went through my search history - ha! I learned that Yusuf Cat Stevens is still performing and that I still like his music.
Hmmm what do you mean with recur post? Oh and the car is pain in the ass if you really live only locally...I could easily buy a car but just taking care of all the insurance and parking spot etc...fuck it really :) Im still riding a bike to work everyday :D Will probably buy a car first when I'll have a family or something :D

😄 I have been spreading out a bit - was too much only reading Freewrites. Well, now, I am not reading that many but get to play a bit more in the big world of STeem.
Recur post is a service where you can upload social media posts (I believe up to 250 for the free version), set a schedule and they will post. When all have gone up, it starts in the beginning again. for each post you can set a date to stop recycling - i.e. if you advertise a certain event or something dated.
As to the car - sadly, public transportation is not very good in San Diego and riding a bike is becoming increasingly more dangerous. A car is pretty much a necessity here...
i learned about #learnandearn and maybe it is enough for now :D
not sure i could go back every day last week to think about what i learned, but maybe i will try for the next week.
or should this post be for the future week? probably not.
you know, it doesn't really matter..you can post 3 random things...if you aim for higher tiers and need monday to friday, you can do both..last week or come later this week and write about this one :)
