RE: Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking.

in #life8 years ago

This was a really good post, one that I feel like I can particularly feel as an introverted leader. I'm the head of a collective of artistic types, and I myself am one of the head in the clouds artists, so running it has been a mixed bag. We're really behind and never stick to schedules, and sometimes there's complete lulls where none of us are releasing anything, but at the same time the team is really well connected.

So while we lack the extroverted structure and consistency, we have a lot of really personal, intricate and deep projects that sometimes several of us contribute to because the most important part of our collective is listening and collaborating with each other rather than producing product. I think I can see exactly what you mean when you talk about the benefits of introverted leadership, because that's what were like. We're tight nit and everyone gets a voice, but we lack the mechanical efficiency of an office.

Wow. I finally found somebody from the other side of the spectrum. I worked for more than 10 years in bug corporations so I know much of the atmosphere, leadership, framework. There is a tremendous lack of productivity paradoxically because we seek productivity, efficiency and cash effective methods. It's insane. Glad to hear anout a person, not a robot, a human, not a blind executioner. Thank you.
