The Lull Part of the Year

in #life10 months ago

Now that even the Valentine's day is over the next couple of months are going to be lull from festival and celebrations perspective. Even when I was working, I would find this period very boring because there used to be hardly any holidays...hehe. In March though there will be 2 celebrations, which is one our Nowruz and the other one Holi. Aug to Jan are the exciting months for me, because the weather is also nice and there is so much to do. There is something or the other to look forward to.

As a kid also I never much liked this part of the year, because it would be exam time and studies was something I always wanted to run away from. I was never very good in academics and always wondered as a child if I will ever be interested in any job, but then as I grew up paths did open up. I guess it happens with all the children.

As it is when I do not travel to India for more then 2 months then my mind starts acting funny. I need that India vibe regularly to feel alive and energized...haha. Its been more then a month now and 1 more month to go still, and I am so eagerly looking forward to. It already feels like ages that I was in India. Oh yes, sometimes I can get melodramatic....haha.

Today I have loads of work to do around my new home and yet I am feeling super bored, which by now you must have already sensed in my writing. Probably it's just the energy of the day which is making me lethargic. Morning I woke up also late and have been procrastinating on the day's to do things. I guess by evening I should be ok and feeling charged up again. For today, I will leave here and see you all tomorrow.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

Greetings @Casv
Thank you, yes they do get hectic when they are going on and when it's ove you miss those times.

I suppose I can completely understand that feeling because the Indian culture is an incredibly lively, colourful and energetic one! Like my eldest brother... he dates a Colombian woman and they live in Colombia together... whenever he sends photos or videos to us, there is always so much going on in the streets - so many festivities, music, singing, dancing... like everywhere and it seems like every single day too!

It makes sense that you would feel an almost "deafening silence" in months which are quieter.

Myself, I am feeling the opposite lately and am actually quite relieved that all the holidays etc. are over for a little while... I am feeling exhausted from all the "activity" haha!

Asian Countries are full of traditions and festivities. As you rightly said, there is always something to celebrate.
I too like my space and quiet time, but sometimes I do miss that energy. Even if I am not doing much I enjoy that colorful vibe around, which I do miss in these times.
I think the planets are playing too much on my mind these days...haha
