Thorn Flowers
It is an alleyway that has recently been built, according to the neighbors of the place where I have recently moved for the nth time. The first few days I would frequent it to get to my house in the right direction, since I always had trouble getting into the parking lot, until one night there was a gunfight in the alley. Since that time I stopped going there at night, I only do it during the day in the hot sunlight of the midday of these months. Why go through there? Every time I pass by a bush or a plant that attracts my attention, and I also take advantage of it to pull up some leaves from the plant of the chinchamochina that I use to make lemongrass or peppermint tea.
As I passed by I saw a variety of unattractive cactus. I've been seeing it for over a year now and I really didn't think it was pretty. Until one morning last week, as I passed by, I was amazed to see some beautiful flowers hanging from that cactus. Beautiful flowers that I want to share with you.

Mi estimado hoy si me quemaste porque aquí en el Salvador tenemos poca pitahaya muy poca y realmente esa no la he probado aún, me ha encantado la variedad que tienes y ver ese contenido florar se ve espectacular, sabes una cosa lo que se haces para saber si una flor puede comerse es darle un mordisco en crudo y si el sabor es soportable pues es comestible y si te da un sabor a rayos como amargo pues mejor ni intentarlo, así que recomiendo dale una mordidita y siente su textura y sabor y pues puedes probar con una hervida para tener de parámetro, o freírla con un tomate o huevos, ahhhh eso sí solo los pétalos ya que veo que tiene muchos pistilos y supongo que ahí hay mucho polen y eso puede ser contraproducente así como la película protectora que veo donde está la base de las flores eso se ve muy verde y se ve duro,
Lamento que hoy me hayas quemado pero yo la probaría, y gracias por la mención pero consultaré a los expertos su opinión y luego te comento cual ha sido el resultado.
Bueno amigo, no era mi intención quemarte; solo que vi la flor muy apetecible y se me ocurrió preguntarte porque eres de los expertos que hace suculentos platos de raíces, tubérculos y de flores. Por eso solo pregunté para saber si estaba dentro de tu rango de probabilidades. Pero fue interesante tu respuesta sobre las indicaciones. Lo tendré en cuenta. Pero de que es hermosa es hermosísima.
Si se ve preciosa pero ya he preguntado a nuestra bióloga ella si tiene mas bagaje y si nos dirá te lo aseguro, cuando haya pitahayas si nos convidas que esas si son deliciosas., seguimos en contacto.

I have eaten the fruit. But I have never thought about eating the flowers. My grandmother grew this plant and it was always a big event when their white flowers opened for their 1 night of exhibition. I checked some sources and it looks like people use the flower buds, before the flowers are open. Here are 4 links that look like they are reliable.
