Love Thy Self - Daily Reflection

Does the thought of yourself make you smile?

This morning I was doing my daily gratification meditation See Post Here and a realization came over me - The thought of others makes me smile but the thought of myself leaves a blank face. Not one of disappointment or dislike; more indifference or neutrality - Why is this and how do I go about changing that view of myself?

sometimes, i think, it's easier to love externally.

maybe take time throughout the day, separating others for in the morning and yourself for the rest of the time. what do you do for yourself daily?

give thanks to your body while you brush your teeth. give thanks to your insides while you eat your food (and eat mindfully!). when you go out for a walk, love your muscles for keeping you upright. acknowledge your eyes and neurons while you read.

maybe this'll help - i'm great at compartmentalizing ;)
