Lools like it was great fun! Ive been to meetups in two states now, and love how diverse and engaging the steemit community is. If I find myself in New South Wales anytime, I'll be sure to organise a meet!

It makes it real, engaging face to face. Glad to see @rustle in attendance, too!

We need more people turning up to make it even more fun! 😊

The more people that show up, the more groups you fail to get to talk with. There were 15 on the official count for the Adelaide one I went to, and I'm sure I only spoke with about 6 or 7 for more than saying hi and the normal meeting for the first time talk.

We had 9, which was great, but I already felt like I didn't get to spend time talking with everyone.

And yet I still would love for more people at the next one!

Very true. By the time I realised I haven’t spoke to some it was already time to go home. But it’s a long term thing. Next time we should try to sit with people we haven’t discussed with before.

absolutely. Or at least spend more time with those you haven't spent much time talking with.

If you get here, you'll catch up with me at 3 states. It's so good to get to the different meetups and see the different people from other areas of the country. I hope to get up to Queensland if they have another meetup sometime, but life can be in the way. Perth might be more likely at this rate!

Great to see you guys had a great time!
I'm surprised @rustle was behaving, are you sure he wasn't sneaking shots under the table?

I’m wondering too, he seemed a bit too joyful at the end... 😂😂😂

You can see him in the gif eyeing the shots.

I think these are all of the behaving photos of him. He may have had his fill by then, or he may have just been taking a break between drinks

I love seeing people band together to help grow the steem community. Extra points for being Aussie!

Well done

Hey! Looks like a successful meetup, although a little meat heavy for my tastes. :)

There was plenty of sides that you'd have enjoyed. Well, if you like mash, sauerkraut, and red cabbage that is. There was lots of them. Very German meat dishes.

I'm unsure what there was on the menu for a vegetarian or vegan though. might have been something...

hahah omg that photo of me!! 😱

Thanks so much for coming! It was great to meet you and it was really cool to see the block cycle!

I removed that particular one 😬
Still see you in the other photos. Thanks for insisting that I come, I really enjoyed the fun arvo.

Haha thanks brother! I'm really glad you made the huge trek out, I appreciate it. It was a lot of fun. Too short though. I also felt like I didnt get to talk to everyone as much as I would have liked.

I'm already thinking of our next meet up!

I was wondering, maybe one of the event could be to go somewhere out together and end in a pub. So there could be photo and Blog opportunities.

I'm thinking hotel with a conference room and a club. Conference so we can talk Steemit and then partay after.

Big event!

Thanks for all the assistance in getting this to happen. And it was so much more fun than if it was just the 3 of us!

My pleasure! I agree! I'm actually really happy about the turn out. Thanks for getting ball rolling and for bringing @Rustle. ❤

I bet @phamished was famished at the meet up 😁

Thanks for sharing! Nice to see faces ❤️

Hahaha WELL DONE @thekitchenfairy on that joke. I mean as @ratticus mentioned below he was the first to make that joke but you were the first to make it on Steemit here without being present at the meetup so kudos to you too =P

It's ok @quochuy @thekitchenfairy, Phamished not being a real word (what?) it always seems to be autocorrected but thank you for taking the time to correct it!! :D

She was, and so were the others, very excited to see the food coming, for sure 😂

Oh I just realised I mistyped her name and so did you... oops 😬

There there I fixed it 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Wish I was somewhere there too so I can meet you guys.

There are some Aussies in Canada, but we are located so very far from each other. The closest to me was like 11 H drive 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Doh! Maybe do a once a year Meetup near another date/event when people are more likely to travel and could insert a Steemit Meetup in their agenda.

And because someone had to make that joke, I made that joke to her and the table when we were finishing up with all the food photography. It never gets old :)

Someone had to do it :)

If nothing else, I'm always willing to take one for the team and make obvious jokes

You got some AWESOME GIFs!! I mean most of them are me either downing a shot or, about to down a shot or about to take a drink but I love action shots so thank you for taking them!

Also you provided extremely valuable knowledge about the blockchain, Steemit and a little on how the witness server works. I know my husband @ohboy definitely found the conversation interesting!

Great to meet you and actually I had a feeling you were Vietnamese but now visiting your blog it's confirmed, I am too :D

Following you now btw! Didn't realise I wasn't before :)

Thanks for the feedback. I was going to upload the video on dtube but it was so short that I think it has more value as two separated GIFs visible straight away.

I enjoyed the chat with @ohboy, its great that both of you are on Steem.

Yes, I’m Vietnamese! I didn’t realised you were too 😃 were you born in Oz?

I enjoyed our talk too, especially about the mechanics of Steemit and the role of a witness! It’s amazing how the ecosystem works and appreciate the technology !

Warms the cockles to see such a solid turnout.
We're fairly lucky here in Adelaide that most people can get into the CBD fairly easy, making monthly meetups more viable.

Right? Was such a good arvo.

It was an effort from all of us. We drove an hour an a half to get to parra. Another drove an hour too. The rest caught trains, @quochuy is almost as far away as I am, probably further.

For me to have regular meet ups I need to build my blue mountains crew.

@bearone my drive was better than I thought it would be. It took me 1 and a half hour too each way.

Damn you drove! I thought you caught the train in! At least our drives are kinda scenic ;) Still it's a big day, Hubby was buggered when we got home.

I often wish I had a self driving car 🚗

Keep them warm, winter is coming!
Are there many steemians in VIC?

Datascience, Mazzle and just2random are the ones who spring to mind.
There are more than 125 in Adelaide, but we don't get quite that many to the meets :)

This was a nice write up and very interesting! Looks like everyone enjoyed themselves. Great photos too!

it was great to meet up with you all!
