You Can't Make Everyone Happy!! (FIND YOU OWN HAPPINESS FIRST)
Hey everyone, welcome to another talk video!
In this video I want to bring up the topic of worrying about always making everyone happy! You just can't do it all the time, it's not possible and one of the BIG reasons we need to be looking at is our own happiness. I think so many set out to help others in an attempt to "fix" themselves from whatever they feel is broken and that is DEFINITELY an awesome way to start building passion, altruism and generally earning the reward of satisfaction and gratitude from helping others. That, I think, is GREAT but what can happen for someone who hasn't yet learned to love themselves is that they will start tying their value to the idea of helping people and when they help people they feel MORE valuable. This is a flawed system because the minute you cannot help someone you will feel like you've FAILED, which isn't true at all! But because the value system is placed on helping people and the margin of error is perfection, you will always magnify the one loss instead of the one hundred wins.
This video addresses that concept and dives deeper into how we can learn to love ourselves as well as others in order to cause a positive change and impact on another! I love how many people are sending me love in the comments, messages on discord or even making videos (like @spaceginger did today!) about the positivity that I try to spread here! It's amazing how much support there is and it just makes me want to feed more and more positivity into the system here as we build a huge motivated community of positive thinkers!
I love this community and appreciate all of you, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the subject below as well!

Being a People-pleaser myself, I know how hard it can be to let go and stop trying to make everyone happy, trying to please them, and to dare to say "no". It used to be a lot more of a struggle. Saying "no" sometimes still is, but we truly can't rely on others to make ourselves happy and they can't rely on us to be happy either. I've learnt a lot while healing from codependency and seeking validation form others does not replace the void within that self-loathing will cause. We need self-love. When we seek validation, we give permission to others to tell us what to do and how to do it and to complain how unhappy they are if we don't do it. It allows them to blame other and victimise themselves. We can fall in the same traps too. By focusing on making ourselves happy and not people-pleasing, then we can step away from those traps. It can be tough at times though.
