Which are the most useful ab workouts?
Just because you want to optimize and work on your abs it doesn’t mean that you can’t have fun doing that. Experimentation is key here and you should refrain from doing the same ab workouts all the time as this can be stale and boring. With that in mind, here are some great exercises and variations.
Arms-High Partial Situp
This is a normal situp that will require you to keep your arms high. It’s not hard to do but it can be a little challenging to do if you don’t have the proper training.
Barbell Rollout
You just need to load the bar with plates and then kneel on the floor. Brace the abs, roll the bar forward and then make sure that you feel the hips are starting to sag as this will make the workout efficient.
Barbell Russian Twist
You just need to grasp the bar from the end and then you have to bring it from left to right. A simple exercise but one that does convey a lot of value and a very good experience for sure.
Swiss Ball Crunch
Using a fitness ball and laying back on it will help you quite a lot with your abs, all you have to do is to be willing to give this exercise a shot. Remember that you should do as many of these as you can!
Flutter Kick
Stay on your back with the legs straight and start lifting the heels and kick the feet up in the air like a scissor. This will help you quite a lot with your abs but refrain from doing too many repeats as you might get tired.
Front Squat
Get some barbells and start using them, then as you do that make sure to perform a front squat. This is very important since it will address your ab muscles and help you work on them with great efficiency.
Leg Raise
Stay on the floor and try to find something you can grab on which might be a chair for example. Use your hands to grab that chair and then raise your legs. You will need your chair for support. Try to do as many reps as you can here without placing too much pressure on your abs.
Plank
Planking can also help you address your abs. This is a simple workout and you can do it literally anywhere but it will deliver a very good value. The Side Plank can be an interesting variation for this workout.
Situp and Throw
Try to do situps but also hold a ball in your hands, you will have to be in front of a wall. When you complete a situp throw the ball and then it will bounce back against the wall then back in your hands.
As you can see, there are some great ab workouts that you can do at home with virtually no equipment other than barbells and a fitness ball.If you want to find out more great ways to lose weight, stay fit and work out, here at BeardedMuscle we offer you regular, high-quality content about gaining muscle mass the proper way!
