The US Government Wants To Hack Your Bockchain.info Bitcoin and Litecoin Wallets
US Department of Health and Human Services Seeks Bid for Litecoin and Bitcoin Wallet Hacking Hardware
I did a simply query moments ago just out of curiosity on the fed biz ops web site for bitcoin and was astonished and disturbed at what I found. The Department of Health and Human Services has submitted a bid for HACKING HARDWARE. Specifically a Brutalis System, Hardware designed for the sole purpose of cracking password hashes. The bid was placed Dec 12, 2017 so its just over a month old and has already been fulfilled.
Lets have a quick look at a Brutalis system and what it generally consist of.

Now the bid mentions $Bitcoin and $Litecoin wallet dat files but more specifically the https://blockchain.info website. This should be of major interest to the owners of that wallet website.
(vi) Description of Requirements - this acquisition is for Brutalis password/encryption hardware needed to allow continuity of operations for the Office of Inspector General (OIG) Forensic Computer Examiners (FCEs) in the performance of their duties relating to forensic analysis of electronic data/digital evidence as part of ongoing criminal investigations, which is/are secured by unknown/unidentified password/ encryption.
Bids for this system had to be submitted to Specialist at [email protected] no later than 2:00 pm on January 4th 2018.
The bid claims it is for Forensics, but this same government also claimed that the North Vietnamese sank one of our ships in the Gulf of Tonkin and 58,000 Americans lost their lives for something that actually never happened.
This is really dangerous. Particularly if you have an online wallet or an account on the https://blockchain.info website. Same can be said if you have large amounts of crypto stored on any of the hundreds of exchanges around the world. That's right your crypto is not safe from the US Government if it is stored anywhere online.

Best thing you can do is keep a paper wallet and DON'T LOSE it. I hope this opens your eyes to the real dangers that are facing crypto currency users. Keep in mind it's not only Johnny Cypherpunk in his mothers basement trying to hack your crypto that you have to worry about. It is the most powerful governemnt in the world that wants to know what you have in crypto as well. They may not steal your crypto like Johnny Cypherpunk but them knowing what you have may in fact be a far worse scenario for you to deal with.

I think that governments everywhere are beginning to get really scared of crypto..
Seems to me like there is a multi-pronged attack on it coming from many different governments..
It wont be long before they employ IA and super computers to these task.

Yeah that's what I was gonna say. Get one of them nifty hardware wallets. Like 100 bucks on Amazon. You can get them even cheaper on Ebay if you're a bit savvy too.

It's shouldn't be a surprise that the governments of the world are only going to let the crypto space thrive if they are able to track/monitor, guide/control, and tax every single action/transaction that takes place on the blockchain. If they are able to do this they will let the crypto space loose and move towards mass adoption, while if they are unable to do this they will continue to crack down and demonize cryptos as a whole. I don't approve of their mindset, but I am also not very surprised by it either as you can't teach an old dog new tricks, and government is the oldest dog of them all.
Nah man, they clearly want it because they'll use the GPUs to mine DOGEcoin and laugh at 4chan memes while it is processing.
Either that or the Minister forgot his key and had a lot of embezz..., I mean saving funds on his account.
