PH-korea.bot - INTRODUCTION to our community bot
INTRODUCTION
Good morning everyone,
In my previous post, I've welcomed you all (PH core team members) and I invited you to join our private discord server. I'm glad to see that most of our members already joined it.
Today I would like to share with you some details related to progress we've made (together with @jacobyu and @lanzjoseg) in building our PH-korea.bot.
We're currently adding some basic features, which I hope will be useful and will help you all safe some time.
Below, I will explain one feature we're currently working on and I would need you all to help me out, test it and share your feedback. After all, many of you may be using this feature in the nearest future.
PH-KOREA.BOT
First of all: let me explain how to find our bot and how to communicate with him.
In order to find this bot, please go to "PH core team PRIVATE" discord server and look for "bot-commands" group.
You will be able to drop commands in that group or you can send them directly to the bot (Which I highly recommend).
FIRST COMMAND: ^scan (user) (timeframe)
Before I explain in detail what this command does, let me briefly paint "the problem" I'm trying to solve and the solution which we're hoping will solve this problem.
Problem:
Most of you, dear PH core team members, are supported financially with some amount of STEEM on weekly basis. For some of you, those resources mean a lot, for others - not so much. Obviously, it depends on your cost of living, so for our Venezuelan members earning an additional 10-40 steem every week can make a difference. At the same time for someone from India or Europe it may not mean much.
Either way, those who are supported financially have been requested to provide @lanzjoseg with simple .txt file (kind of report), which would include links to all posts which you've commented recently. Based on that information, lanzjose has been transferring funds (he has a role of accountant within PH) every weekend. He would also randomly check some of those comments, to verify quality (we don't want to support short robotic comments).
This solution has been working quite fine. However, we've been facing some problems:
- it's kind of time-consuming to create this .txt file, especially for those who are accessing steemit via their mobile devices
For that particular reason, we were quite flexible and if someone didn't provide Lanzjose with mentioned file -> Jose would manually visit such a user comment section and check for himself if a supported member has been active and engaging within our community.
Unfortunatelly this is also time-consuming.
Solution:
I would like to stop that idea of creating .txt files and sending weekly reports to Lanzjoseg.
Instead, we will be able to receive completed report from ph-korea.bot, which will allow us to monitor engagement of each user within PH community.
I've added command: ^scan (user) (timeframe)
which hopefully will help to solve that problem.
The idea behind is quite simple: you will receive some basic information about all your activity within Project.hope within selected timeframe.
TEST IT OUT (example):
Please go to our PH core team discord server, bot-commands group and type in:
- ^scan crypto.piotr 7
And see for yourself what kind of details will you receive. And please let me know if you have any questions so far?
HOW WOULD WEEKLY SUPPORT "work" in the nearest future?
We will test this bot, introduce some necessary changes and test it again and educate all our members -> I'm hoping that by march we will stop the previous method (sending files to @lanzjoseg).
Pretty much every single one of you is aware of his/hers weekly target (example: those that receive 30 steem weekly support, will be expected to drop minimum 30 quality comments). And by using ^scan command you can easily check for yourself if you've reached this target already.
Lanzjose will one account after another (right before transferring funds) and our assumption is, that he will transfer funds if AT LEAST HALF (50%) of the target has been achieved.
After all, we understand that not everyone can be active every single week and sometimes you may not be able to reach your target (amount of comments). If you would at least reach half of it, then you will still receive weekly support.
However, if it will continue to repeat week after week, then after few weekends I will have no option but to reduce this support (and reduce target) and allocate those funds to someone else. I hope I'm being fair (I work with some budget and I need to use it efficiently).
SHARE YOUR FEEDBACK
It is crutial for me to ask everyone (especially those who receive weekly support) to spare some time, test this bot's feature and share your thoughts with me.
Would you consider this tool useful, or complicated? Would you rather continue sending .txt files to @lanzjoseg every weekend? Or would you give this bot a try?
Right now we're still working on it, so every single suggestion may still be taken into consideration.
Cheers, Piotr

Congratulations, a substantial advance that we have just given from the PH community, no doubt @lanzjoseg will be able to contribute his knowledge from other areas within the community.
I tested the bot from the private discord server a few days back and I must say, I am happy with the result. This will help everyone to know their level of engagement (both comments and posts) within the community.
I'm really on board with automating the process, I think it's much better.
Faster. and it simplifies the work for @lanzjose and colleagues working from cell phones.
I tested the Bot, it has the necessary information to evaluate everyone's performance in this aspect of the comments.
I have tested it and the result is accurate. It's user-friendly and easy. Thanks
this is nice and it will save lots of time who has been sending txt file with details and now with this bot implementation its quite easy.
Greetings friend @crypto.piotr, it seems to me an excellent option, an automated process always represents an avence and a better alternative than doing manual work, both for lanzjose and for the colleagues, I will join the tests.
Hello, dear @crypto.piotr.
I tested the bot. It worked correctly, I received the information quickly and the results are real.
Question:
Suggestion:
The bot should only send information about any user to Lanzjose and to any other person in charge and authorized for the supervision of the comments.
All other users should only receive their own personal information. That is, the bot should not show to Lupafilotaxia information about Josevas217's activity. Unless Lupafilotaxia has "supervisor privileges".
All the best.
Juan Molina

Greetings friend @crypto.piotr. I have already tested the bot and it works very well. I have the same questions as @juanmolina, especially about what period of time is being evaluated, the bot should indicate it or renew the counter every Saturday, since it shows me more comments than those corresponding to this week, I guess this counting from last week.
that's amazing, I believe that this will improve many processes and communication, it seems a very useful tool
