Oh OK, so its on the other side. When I went travelling last year I was going to go island hopping around the channel islands, then get to France and travel through France until I met my friend in Nice, but I ended up flying straight to Nice from Gatwick in the end
Yes, it's on the other side... but it's really worth the detour! Just aside of Saint-Malo, you can visit the medieval city of Dinan, the Mont Saint-Michel, and the typical Bretagne, that have a very strong culture and historical legacy.
France, my friend ! If you fancy a trip to France someday, take a little tour to this beauty-full city of Saint-Malo !
Where abouts in France? I lived in Italy for 18 months on a coastal town called Diano Marina, which was near the French border
It's about 40 km of the Mont Saint-Michel, in Bretagne. You can now go from paris to Saint-Malo in only 2, 5 hours thanks to the new train line.

Sounds good! I'll have to let you know if I ever make it to Saint-Malo :-)
Whenever you want ! You're welcome !
