That day, we went, dressed in white, amongst the hundreds of us. We ate, drank and danced.
那天，我們走著走著，穿著白色禮服，在我們數百人之中。我們吃，喝，玩樂，飛舞著。

I remember it was on a Saturday, Melbourne's first outing of the global phenomenon Le Dinner En Blanc or Dinner in White. It was 27 years since the event was first held in Paris, with the amout the emails we received as being on the waiting list, we were lucky to pay for the privilage pretended to be French in the free spirited pop-up feast.

我記得這是在禮拜六，墨爾本第一次出現全球現象Le Dinner En Blanc或“白色晚餐”。浪漫的盛宴源自於27年第一次巴黎舉辦。重繁雜郵件通訊，像從候補打進入圍賽，我們榮幸的加如著簡單而隆重的野餐宴會，4個小時假裝法國人，自由活躍地在盛宴中成為輕舞著。著不禁讓人想到法國休閒單車，湖畔野餐，糕餅小吃，法國馬賽球。

In 1988, someone organised a picture with his friends in Pairs. Since there's a long list of friends, so they have decided to wear all white to the picnic. It just took in all trend and becomes a fashionable event spread around the globe. Think about the classy the French bike, the nibbles and the boule with an air of laid-back and elegance.

離現在29年前，當時某人邀請自己的朋友去野餐，由於很多人，他們舊決定穿純白色。現在蔓延到，全世界各個國家。現在墨爾本和悉尼每年都有一次。我們去的是墨爾本的第一次，申請參加就是嚴肅隆重，幾千個人在Waiting List, 排隊才等到登記。登記信函一發，就在12 內賣光了。 考搶票得到的。

There is no better place for this event than the cultural capital city of Australia. There's no time for luxury for the ostentatious - Nothing but renowned passion for food, wine, fashion or all things stylish. Rest assured that the amicable Melbourne embrace the events.

在澳大利亞，沒有比墨爾本文化更適合白色晚餐盛宴的地方。我們不崇尚暴發戶土豪金。我們追求的優雅的美食，葡萄酒，自由，文化，時尚，浪漫，友誼。友好的墨爾本市人完全溶於一片歡樂中。

All guests provided their epicurean feasts, table, chair, fine china, silverware, white table cloths - We paid the extra for hamper of picture food, with pate, french bread and a fine bottle of white wine.

所有客人都帶來了自己的野餐美食，桌子，椅子，精美的瓷器，銀器，白色的桌布 - 我們買了滿載法國野餐食物籃子，法國麵包和一瓶白葡萄酒。

6:30pm, close to 800 of us waited at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), for a bus to transfer us to a secret location. We waited in excitement...
下午6:30，我們從MCG等候，乘坐一輛公共汽車將我們送到一個秘密的地方。我們滿懷興奮地期待著。。。

We waited for 30 mins and it was another 20 minutes bus ride - We finally arrived at the mighty bank of Yarra! Our neighbourhood, along the side of a river bank...

我們等了30分鐘，再花上了20分鐘車程 - 我們終於到達了橫穿 墨爾本，連結南北兩地共和國的，Yarra 內河！搞了那麼久，那豈不是我們的左鄰右里？！

By the time we arrived, I was almost exhausted by the extensive effort of preparation to sustain the breathe through the air of elegance and indulge in the romance. We had lot of a fun, but it was the company rather than the Dinner En Blanc.

入夜了，我們一整天的著多準備過後，拖著疲憊的身體讓然保持優雅的，狂歡高呼著。我們享受歡樂，是大家的陪伴過於墨爾本的首次集體白色野餐晚餐。
