This beautiful small hawk is a common sight in Costa Rica. A bird of prey eating lizards, snakes, small mammals and sometimes other small birds.

Such an awesome looking bird! Great photos!! My parents lived in Costa Rica for 1.5 years, sadly I never had the opportunity to go visit them. I definitely want to go there some day!! :)
