A gauche estate (90)
Many were lost
when the setting sun
burned through the horizon,
gone.
The moon rises high atop the sky.
The bones of yesterday
glow strange, some look
like spears, and daggers;
others statuesque,
sublime.
Amongst the savaged
land and blinding hearts
is a pond; and beneath
the scum,
a world.
A transportive write you got going here. Love how it shifts the awareness of things:) Sublime:)
Thank you @prydefoltz. <3
I really love poundering out in nature, it's always fruitful for me.
Each stanza here feels like an attempt to see through towards something vanished. In the first, the people passed on; the second the day itself, and in the third... on the face of it a simple pond's surface but then that final word blows the whole thing wide open. The sense of loss, for so much and so many, is palpable. Just wonderfully expressed, @mamadini.
Thank you, lazarus. Your comments always bring such a lovely cast this way. :)
The imagery is 100% top notch I could virtually see it for my own point of view really, this place you painted seems cumbered WIth a bit of uncertainty, although I can't figure out the mood really about this world in a scum, but it's really beautiful written
Thank you. :)

Oh wow, somehow I missed this. So sorry as it's too late to vote where you would get the monies. :(
Thank you though. <3

Nice word play, bacus.
Thank you. Though i sometimes fear of digging too deep into vastness of any language.
I go back and forth.
