A Single Seed: Living With Consequences
Fear has been in the air of the world for weeks now. A globally-felt unease that has resulted in myriad decisions designed to protect the wellbeing of entire populations. On a personal basis, fear has led some of us to stockpile food, sell off stocks, and prepare for the worst. But in the midst of all of the concern, I think there's a poignant reminder we could all use:
Fear does not prevent death. It prevents life.
No matter how many steps we take to prevent becoming infected by this disease, or just to be safe in general, we could easily drop dead tomorrow from something completely unrelated. Preparedness is never a bad thing, but especially in times like this, preparedness and fear need to be distinguished, because there is a difference in how you feel and how you act based off of these emotions. Living a life prepared means you've taken the necessary steps to mitigate risk in numerous ways, and you have a plan for if things take a turn for the worse. Living a life in fear means you may have done all of these things, but you're too scared to do the first word of the sentence. Living. There's a difference between hiding in home doing nothing while waiting for the storm to pass versus waiting it out by focusing on other areas of your life.
Now is a time to live in awareness, in presence, and in preparation. But these things are all different from fear. Our goal should be to mitigate risk. If we go too far, we risk mitigating the most important part of it all: life.
"A Single Seed" is my attempt to get out one idea every day that I've learned or accumulated over the years, with the hope that it may stick in someone else's memory bank as well. The idea may be related to fitness, business, life, or philosophy, but I think you'll find that many can change domains if you wish them to. With each seed planted, a new life awaits.

Fear is not a good friend. He can control yourself or you control him. It´s always our choice, we decide. I think it´s more important than ever to trust ourselves and the universe. We should use these exciting times, to go inside and start healing our fears. We are all creators and we are powerful together.
Life is more funny without fear ;)
Yes to all of this! It's a tough battle, but as you said, no better time to go inside and conquer them. Stay safe out there!
