I think we need to insist. There is a future and it is happening now! Internet is shifting towards VR and augmented reality and 3d objects. This will be completed between the web 3.0 and web 4.0. Steemit should improve and implement its multimedia content and capabilities. Websites are including that feature such as ecommerce website to allow users to view items in a 3dimensional way and interact with them before buying. It is a way to "try and see the real thing before you buy it".
You are preaching to the choir. Look at this users post https://steemit.com/steemfest/@steemland.com/steemland-open-for-visiting-and-adding-art-people-photographs-and-pictures then go down to the comments. I think VR and Steem may be more hand and hand than people believe if Steemland is something the users enjoy.
How about trying to upload a picture just to see if it can be viewed in a 360 degree way like facebook? I am not asking too much i will try it myself now.
You will have to message the runner of @steemland.com who is @virtualgrowth as I have not tried the system Steemland is being used on myself, but it seems like it would be a very workable option to have in VR
